Why Aren't There Whole PVP Zones?

I know there is the zone: ker'rat,

but WHY does this game not offer a major set of zones like Battlestar Galactica Online does--where the sides can fight for resources and objectives, and gain PVP kill points 24x7?

I would pay "Premium" dollars to have this in Star Trek. I'm tired of the PVE and gimp PvP short battles.

As far as I'm concerned, they could put a cookie-cutter copy of Ker'rat in every sector, put them all on a rotating timer so you could always do one "war zone" 3-mission rotation every day, and it would be an immediate, huge improvement to game content.

A event (1 hour long like mirror event) in which kdf can attack esd or feds Qnos would be great. They would only have to find a solution for lower ranks who are there for promotions. When kdf raid esd almost everyone finds that funny so cryptic cant miss the opportunity to make something really cool.

Because, despite the fact that PvPers tend to spend more in the C-Store, Cryptic has decided PvP isn't profitable and has ignored it as such for the past 3 years.

Well, no. Not ignored it. They took away one of our maps/game types.

If they can ever fix Ker'rat...then it might be something worth asking for, imho. As it stands now, though - what would be the point of multiple zones along those lines? A bunch of broken zones...?

Great idea, honestly - just, well - they haven't demonstrated they could do it. It's not even a case of something being a priority, because they definitely do have other priorities - but c'mon, Ker'rat has been broken for how many years?

It sounds like what you're talking about is territorial control, which the devs have stated an interest in for at some point in the future. It's supposed to include a PvP extension of the fleet starbase system.

What's "broken" about it? I've never had problems completing the mission, and the problem with Borg ships getting stuck in stationary objects is a minor annoyance.

As for getting spawn-camped or shot in the back by Klingons when you're limping along at 10% hull, that's just part of the Ker'rat charm. :P

On restart, Feds spawn at the KDF spawn.
    Ability to switch sides.
Zone does not reset on restart.
    Warp-in animation.
    Rubberbanding Borg.
    Stretch Borg.
    Stuck Borg.
Out-of-sync Borg (untargetable but not stuck).
Out-of-sync Borg (targetable but not located correctly).
    Collision boxes on static objects.
Server seam on the planet (not Cracked).
    Audio deadzones.

There's probably more, but those are what quickly come to mind...

Otha is the ground version of Ker'rat, and doesn't have bugs. It also doesn't have all that many people, so you can get the daily done fairly quickly. And when there are people, it's always fun.

But it's not 24/7, like the OP wants.

Cause this game is not actually a game, its an online fanservice for non-gamer Star Trek fans who only cares about their uniforms, bridges and matching the color of the combadge with the "cannon", with some PvE's for them to feel skilled captains defeating braindead AI's.
