Dilithium Ore to Refined Ratio Change?

sentinel64sentinel64 Member Posts: 901 Arc User
I looked through the forum for any information on why the ore to refined dilithium was changed to 1:1, but have found nothing to explain the action. Can someone from STO/PWE explain the reason? I know you have the 8000 ore refinement daily cap, which is why we still have ore in the game, but why was the old ratio taken away? Please explain, thank you.

I think the OP was wondering about why it changed from an hourly cap of 8k to a 24 hr cap.
Should I start posting again after all this time?

We have always been able to refine 8000 dilithium from 8000 dilithium ore every day. Some players can refine an extra 500 dilithium per day by getting a certain veteran reward or lifetime subscription. There has been no change to dilithium refinement since it was added to the game.

    It was never hourly.

It's always been 8000 per day at 1:1 since the system went live. The only changes have been indirect through spending or income changes.

Confirming what others have said: 1 ore = 1 refined.

You guys are completely stupid and wrong!

It's now 1 ore refined into 1 refined ore, up to 8000 per day.

But it USED to be 1 refined ore refined from 1 ore 8000 times daily.

    Totally different, noobs.

AS other have posted it's 1:1 refining ratio. And it's 8,000 refining limit per 24 hours. However the refining limit is reset at a specific time 00:00 UTC/GMT. So it you time things right, you can get 8K refined minutes before the reset and then 8K after the reset. But you cannot refine any more then 8K per days. With a days defined as from 00:00:00 UTC/GMT to 23:59:59 UTC/GMT.
