Besides migraines, what is the purpose of the blinding white lights in the borg Red Alerts?
Boldly going where I have never been before.

blinding white lights? I've never run into any in the borg red alerts... check your bloom settings they might be too high. friend of mine was playing with lots of blinding light for almost 2 years before he realized his bloom settings were at like 300%

He's talking about the graphic error "White blobs of framerate death.".

They're, as stated, a graphical error. Report it as a bug when you see it and it WILL get taken care of as even on the best built gaming rig these things DEVOUR system resources.

Yes, the 2 areas next to each other. I did try the bloom, turning it off, and it only dimmed the edges of them. I'll report it as a bug.

When entering the white lag nebulas turn "half resolution mode" to on. I find this solves the lag problem instantly. I had thought that upgrading my PC might solve the problem but alas no.

Very annoying, i saw them in some red alerts as well, totally blocks out the unimatrix vessels untill those are bigger than the white blob ...

Only solution i figured is turn the camera so the blob is in the back (so i look the other way)...

    Incredibly annoying.
