More or less what the title says. I'm leveling new toon, or nice, fresh F2P account with all it's limitations. It's a sci officer and while on lt.cmdr I had a lot of fun mauling escorts to death with tyken, beam target subsystem, sensor scan, SBN and, of course lot's of plasma mines and torpedoes.
Now, I'm cmdr and will getting golfball ship, but lvl is fast so I start to wonder what sci-ship should I get at VA. I'll be playing mostly PvP, some STFs perhaps to fill the window between queues.
RA ship is already decided: it will be DSSV. I just like the look and it will give me a lot of sci abilities to pump into my enemies.
I will be maxing out flow capacitors, particle generators (9 pts in both) and go pretty high with missile weapons (also 9) with 6 into energy ones. All other points will go into shield buffing abilities (first) and what's left into insulators and hull buffs.
I was playing with idea of highly offensive Vesta (so switching energy and missile weapons on skill tree) but it somehow does not sound right and fitting to my general playstyle: I'm more a supporter then damage dealer.
Currently I'm not a member of any fleet and I do not know if I will be, so C-Store ships go as first, Lockbox ones (from Exchange) as second and then Fleet version.
Mirrored names are reversed so a mirror star cruiser is really the prime's sovvy and vice versa. You can also use normal hull colors and switch between ISS and USS prefixes. Just in case you didn't know.
lol if you learn anything from this, thats to do you, play your style and play it hard. If you want to be a healer be a healer, build your ship around that, i mean just get the tac vesta and use the spinal lance and there you go dps problem solved, now go back to healing
It's not as much about playstyle, as about the ship. I mean - I can fly, both as tac and as eng. Sci - I used to, but I left sci three seasons ago. To this day I was playing with free ships mostly (free Patrol Escort - better then P2W Klingon ships, hell yeah ), but started to think about some P2W ship. Some of them are looking rather cool but as I do not have any experience with them and how they fly I thought I ask
