Question About Limited-Time Fleet Projects

mrcaton1mrcaton1 Member Posts: 6 Arc User
Hello,

I'm in small fleet and have recently done a lot of work to get our starbase going.

I have a few questions on the limited-time fleet projects (those ones costing us 200,000 dilithium):

- We're working on the final upgrade to have the Tier 1 shipyard and should be completed in a couple of days. We can complete one of the limited time projects before we've completed the T1 shipyard?
- Do the projects have to be started before the event ends in a week or so? Or fully finished?
- If they have to be completed by the end date, does that many any dilithium contributed to those projects goes away?

I'm thinking we can probably complete one and maybe get another one started before this January event ends, but we're so small I don't really want to put dilithium into one of these and then have it wasted if the project goes away in 11 days and was not finished.

Hope my questions are clear. Thanks in advance for any responses!

Depends how much Dilithium you have. If you got the 200,000, it only takes a few hours to complete, so you would complete it before the Shipyard.

You have to start the project before the time limit is up, else the next project is rotated in and you have to wait til it is offered again.

No, the offer will stay until you complete it, So you can take as long as you want. However, another offer comes along thats more attractive, you have to complete the current one.

Personally, since you are a new fleet, focus on the development on your starbases than wasting Dilithium on the Bells and Whistles, unless it's the Winter Project (since it doesn't cost Dilithium). Because a few decorations is not worth 200,000 Dilithum, especially since upgrade projects cost that amount and more (Tier 4 Starbase and Tier 2 Embassy is 1 million Dilithium).

I suggest get a tour of a starbase that has done all the limited projects and decide which ones to do. It is possible to get all the limited projects done before the event ends provided your fleet is willing to spend over $20 per project. Certain projects should be avoided since they don't do much or are an irritant. The tribble project is an irritant to most people since the only use tribbles have is to relieve some stress by kicking them. The Visitor project is good KDF side if you like dancing Orion girls and doesn't have much use Fed side since it adds Holo-Morn and some visitors that don't do much. You can always visit Morn at Quarks.

You just have to queue the project while its still available. Once its in the queue, it won't go away, even when its no longer available
