Seems people don't even care, they make a beeline to the breen and spam "f" as quick as possible disregarding the two other people waiting, so rude. I always wait a good distance behind the other person in the line so they know I'm not trying to skip them. When I see a bunch of people huddled around the breen I don't even touch that mess, I just switch instances. Manners, please get some.
Its human nature in a world of anonymity, not saying everyone does it but in this game and out in the real world a lot of people are only out for themselves and don't care about anyone else.
I also think the amount of rudeness even in PVP ground combat is uncalled for at times. Whether you are seasoned or new proper manners cost nothing. I have seen other players get yelled at for things not even their fault! It's just too easy to act like an TRIBBLE when your hiding behind a screen in your mother's basement. lol
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." - Rocky Balboa (2006)

End rant.
Woe the horrors of having to experience digital queuehoppers. Are you freezing, have you lifted your butt from your chair, have you been in a queue for hours?
Ney, I think not. If this upset you, my oh my, you will have a hard life ahead of you. Lolalot.
Most of the time, I only see one or two other people at most. But today.... yeesh. Five people in line, I run down and pop on the end. And watch as 3-4 more people just jam into the front.
I find a low pop instance.
And that's what I did.
The other annoying one, for those of us who actually bother to wait our turn, is the people who seem to just afk in the queue. I've taken to giving the person ahead of me a chance to signal, but after ~15-20 seconds, I'll move forward.
I admit, I tend to huddle around the breen, but if someone is already there, or gets there before me I try to wait a few seconds before hitting "F" so they can go first.
I can't count the number of times I have been standing there and someone races to the breen and signals before me. I think one time I waited for five or six people as someone kept running up and tagging in before me.

That's an asinine comment, what does this even mean?
Am I freezing? Yep, getting freezing temperatures right now.
Have I lifted my butt from a chair? On more than one occasion.
Have I been in queue for hours? Plenty of times, I will add no one has EVER skipped me.

That was just silly.
I'd say the 'issue' posted in the first place is pretty asinine to.
If it had been a intelligent question instead of a useless rant, i can imagine i would answer the topic in a more mature way. This post was just asking for a equally random useless comment.

Somehow, I can't.
Regardless, how would one form an "intelligent question". Crytic knew about the queue jumpers from last year, and skippers are gonna skip. there is no ahem *cough* *cough* "question".

An intelligent question could be; "How can i avoid queing in the winter race event?"
The answer has already appeared several times by other posters; "Change instance."

Quick and simple.
Have a happy new year celebration!
Hmm...
No offense, but perhaps you should take a reading comprehension course. If you read my original post properly you would know I switch instances to to avoid queing up enmasse. Why would I ask a question I already know the answer to?
It doesn't seem to be particularly "intelligent" to ask a question I know the answer to, does it?:)
Yeah, it got annoying one or two times, while the majority of the time the lines were empty. Thought they said they fixed it so people would wait in line, but all they did was move the point a little out and expect players to wait in line like they would in the real world.
Next year, I suggest they revise it that you click to enter a hidden queue and it automatically puts you in the race depending on the order you clicked. That way the first person there actually goes first and the newest arrival gets in the back of the line.
I will add that I run the race with eight toons so people don' think I'm a crazy person who got skipped once and popped my lid. Most days, I probably get cut three to five times, I dont know what it was about today but it happened around fifteen times. Thank god I only need 120 more autographs.
Nice trollbait thread. As far as the topic is concerned I shall rework your words and say: Spine, please get one. Nobody is under any obligation to adhere to your random ideals of fair play. I see a lot of this, people complaining and screaming 'cheat' or 'exploit' when someone is kind enough to show them the smart way to do things.
I'll sell you some weapons from New Romulus. Never fired, only dropped once.
this very complaint last year, lead to them adding the line stanchions this year. Come on, what is cryptic supposed to do to enforce the line there? Do you need Branflakes to sit by the breen all day telling people to stay in line? It's human nature, people don't like to queue, a lot of people feel entitled to get what they want without waiting. I work in concessions at a theme park, you wouldn't believe how many people I see who will walk right past a huge line and demand service now. Yes it's a pain in the butt when people cut you in line, but it's not the end of the world. Find another instance, wait a few minutes until the line goes away, spam the "F" key yourself, there are plenty of things you can do to help yourself, you don't need the GMs or Devs to step in.
I had someone with a snowball gun stealing all my snowman kills yesterday, so I turned my arm on him and helped the snowmen disable him. While he was frozen, I got my kills back.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.
"stealing kills"? Really? Just shoot everything that moves. The game only seems to track damage deal to snowmen, kills are irrelevent.
As I said- the guy with the snowball gun was out DPS'ing my arm- till my snowball buddies sacked him.
...Then I got my kills.
And that makes you a traitor.... And honestly.... you probably didn't get anything for it. My testing suggests that getting frozen actually counts towards rewards as much as huge DPS....

I bet you're a pvp'er.
So, when you go to the grocery store, and you see four people lined up at the checkout, do you do things the "smart way" and shove your cart right into the front of the line? Just because this is a game, doesn't make it any different. If I walk down from the gazebo and see four people lined up at the race dude, I go into the fifth spot and wait my turn. Because that's what polite, civilized people do.
Ok. I can see where this tread is heading now. Is this where I bluntly should use the word NITPICKING?
How about we all agree that we do less thoughtful things now and then, that we meet nice people more often than vice versa, the times we converse with others on the other end of the line. Have a happy new year everyone... ...in 45min. Its time for popping the champagne here.

Since the release of the WWL, I have run almost every day, but at random times every day... Every time, I have been the only one...

Spam away. That's the fairest way to do things. It rewards people who are on the ball and will keep things moving fluidly.
