This is my first winter wonderland event and I have to say it's been a blast! I'm having a lot of fun with it. And I wanted to say thanks for the Breen ship. I got mine yesterday and it's GREAT! And don't pay any attention to the whiners and criers on here. Even though it seems to be the norm in American society today for people to whine and cry about something basically given to them on a silver platter, I just wanted you to know that there are SOME of us who appreciate your efforts and also appreciate gifts like this. So thanks again...I can't wait till next years winter wonderland. keep up the good work!

    ok...sorry i asked. I'm just not into this type of...for lack of a better term, "music". I prefer actual artists...the ones who can actually sing without using autotune, who sing at concerts and not lipsync, and who use actual instruments for music, not a pre-programmed midi table. call me old fashioned, but it is what it is.

    Well, in simple terms, they were comparing you to the girl in the video (basic version is - you just "met" cryptic and your being overly nice, like how she tries to pass her number on to the guy after she just "met" him)

    It is just a joke, but at your expense. Hope your not offended, lots of jokes fly around on these forums at each others expense, but from what I have seen, it normally is in good taste and just for fun.

    To be fair, the timing of the joke did make it quite funny (and timing is important with any joke)

    I never said I was new to the game...I've been playing since last February, this is just my first winter event.

    And since when is thanking someone for doing something for you considered a joke? Did I miss the memo on this or something? I know it's unfortunately not the norm today, but I was brought up to appreciate things people do for me, and to thank them for it.

    And no, I'm not offended at all...just didn't get the reference as I don't listen to that type of music so I had no idea what people were talking about.

    A lot of people are not into the song, but it was an Internet fad and you had to be in a cave not to see it all the parodies. :D

    No, just not into internet "fads". And I don't lurk on the "fad" and "parody" side of youtube...or any other site. I'm just not one of those people who jumps on every internet bandwagon that comes along, sorry. I have other bandwagons to jump on.

    It's not my thing either, but I am aware of it due to it's insane popularity on youtube.

    That's right, I wasn't. Not once did I insult or judge anyone who listens to this kind of music. I was just merely stating facts. And as I stated, I don't roll on the "popular" side of youtube, that's why I didn't get the reference.

    Hey, I can understand not everyone might know about all the meme's on the internet, and it wasn't your thoughts on the song I took issue with. It was the fact that you were behaving like a prick by being(or at least trying to be) judgmental and insulting to your fellow forum goers with your condescension. I know it and so do you.

    I guess I'll thank the Devs too. This is also my first winter event, but I didn't want the Breen ship. I just wanted the jacket and that epohh pet the Romulans eat so much.

    I should also thank the devs for working on this game. Imagine what would happen if EA/Bioware had gotten the chance to develop it instead.... O_O

    But there are a few acoustic covers of "Call Me Maybe". And my favorite parody is "Batman Maybe". Quite well done.

    And back on topic. This years winter event is nicely polished over last years. Although some people don't get the HUGE HINT of the queuing area in front of the Race Coordinator. They cram in front to try to be first even when there are only 1 or 2 people there.
