Crafting to come...

...and when it does, please, please & please, don't finish the crafting projects off with having to add X amount of dil to be able to buy the final product.

If there is some humanity in those corporate hearts of yours, don't mess this one up (too).

Sincerely Yours.

But grinding for Dilithium and Marks every day is fun. Didn't you get the memo?

I'm going to flat out be shocked because it wouldn't make sense: we already have a D-cost in the form of Unreplicateable Materials to make the better items.

To add a D-cost for Common and Uncommon items would be ... unnecessary.

^^^ This is exactly why PWE could come up with such a malignant idea. Just compare it to the recent reputation project. Grinding to build our stuff, just to have it accessible through some shop where we can buy it. Why would i pay for something i have built myself? No I would not. That behaviour only exist in computergames like STO.

If i cut down a tree and carve out a chair, again, why should i pay for it afterwards? Doesn't make any sense but in the perfect world.

I'm confused. Did I miss a post somewhere? I haven't heard anything about a crafting revamp in progress.

It's too late. Mr. Stahl already has evil plans to turn the crafting system into another reputation grind.

I'd say you have about a year to get the most out of it now, whatever there is, before it turns into Targ doo doo.

    YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...

Dan Stahl mentioned it in one of the Ask Cryptics. November or December I think. Or in the recent State of the Game a month or so ago.

If Crafting is redone as some type of Reputation system, then how will our current crafting progress be transferred to the new system? It seems more like how Diplomacy was transferred to the Duty Officer system rather than the STF sets were transferred to the Omega Reputation. We currently have some level of Crafting skill represented by Crafting XP so either everyone is reset to 0 or X amount of Crafting XP = Y amount of Crafting Reputation.

STO has never been big on crafting. One of the best crafting MMOs I have coime across , other then SWG, is Fallen Earth.

When you DEVS implement the next additions to crafting please remember that many of us are RABID crafters and enjoy STO but that we have had to go to other MMO's to get our crafting fix..
Today we fight the GAULS......monstrous and HAIRY beyond reason.

Probably Exploration, because PvP has, according to PWE's numbers, less of a following than exploration, or playing Poke'epohh.

They're trying to compete with Farmville, after all.

And look what happened to them. *Thinks to self for a second*

This is what I fear is going to happen to crafting. No trading, no real crafting, no way of making money. Just unlock and Dilithium/EC sinks to rob us blind. They found a way to destroy and control the items sold on the exchange, if this goes through.
