Respecialization

My question is if there will ever be a better option for Respecing? Currently you have to get it right the first time/deal with it, or buy it for $5. Now I understand money is what makes the game work but charging for specialization changes seems a bit overboard. Also not having free respecs on tribble already seems horrendously counter intuitive. Charging someone to test things for you? usually people pay a tester in situations. Now I don't need nor want to be payed for tribble, but I do feel Zen needs to be left to the Holo deck server only so that testers are free to test to the fullest potential. For live server, it would be a better gameplay experience if there was an ability to change spec using in game currency whether that be EC, GPL, or Dilithium. Another option that I would shrug toward and accept would be the halved zen price of the respec. Going from 500 to 250. making it way better bang for my buck. sorry for grammar and sentence structure if its bad.

Thanks-

One of the few benefits of being a Gold Member is getting a free respec for getting to each rank. Although, better methods to get a respec would be good.

I mean yeah its a nice perk of being a gold member, but I still feel like the whole thing is faulty the way it is even for gold members. thanks for posting.

What is it, respec/retrain costs? 500 Zen. That is not difficult to farm in dilithium. There are a couple of setbacks, as I see it.

If you just want to change a couple of points, you have to do the whole thing and spend 500 Zen when you only want 3-6 points somewhere else.

Second, if you want to optimize captain-ship type configuration, you have to retrain. An altenative is to make a general build that can function in most ships type, but then you are sacrificing for the sake of being a generalist.

You also get a 1500 Zen balance while on Tribble, which you can use on Respecs there, though testing it out in any of the queued instances is difficult since hardly anyone actually plays there.

Really? I received no zen bonus on tribble at all. That's unfortunate...

50k dilithium to buy a respec still seems a bit much. especially when the market fluctuates. I would rather be saving that dilithium for my Tier gear from reputations. I mean again I realize money makes the game work, but this one makes the game a little less fun.
