Great... Wrong board... Hey purple guys... Could you move this to General Discussion?
So here is one for the thinkers:
Now I know, technically we are at war with... well... everyone to some degree, but would it not make sense by now, if we had a embassy, or at least diplomatic center on earth or ESD?
Right now we have:
- Jiro Sugihara
- The Deferi Ambassador (don't know where Sura went).
- Romulan Ambassador
- .. and we could technically also do with a Klingon laison, considering we are doing co-op with them.
And I am pretty sure that we will see more ambassadors in the future, as the rep system expands, so why not take advantage of that?
What I am suggesting, is either a nice little expandable ground map, like SFA, with several smaller buildings holding a small diplomatic contingent from the different species, or perhaps use the lower levels of ESD that were never really put into use the way they were intended (I guess).
Give them small offices that use the theme of the diffrent species, to help immersion, and keep in mind that whatever area created, should have expansion in mind...
I don't want to use the same door for Romulans and Cardassians... Make a map that could potentially be expanded into the same size as the Defera ground map, if nessacary, and make it pretty, so it's worth visiting.
You could even add minor diplomatic dailies to it (run errands as neutral party between the embassy offices or something like that).
Bad or good idea?
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

I like the idea of an embassy. We've already got a few "other faction" NPCs on each homeworld, it makes sense to put them all together.
Maybe even tie it into the rep system, so you can liaise between Romulans and (for example) Cardassians, and get 5 rep points for each successful diplomatic resolution.
Yea... And sorry for forgetting the KDF... Cryptics attitude may be rubbing off on me.
Anywho, you are absolutely catching my idea...
we the feds or kdf have to do projects to promote our factions embassy.
Well, I was actually thinking something that didn require the players to expand...
Don't get me wrong, expansion is OK, but it might get too much in the long run.
This was really just to not make the different ambassadors who are cluttering up ESD and Qo'nos go into one place, and not make them appear random.
thats where they would be
From a specific standpoint I agree, with UFP headquaters being there and all.
If Cryptic has the time, thats absolutely the road they should go down... Would be nice to see the Eiffel Tower too. I suspect The Klingons would have embassies on the outskirts of the first city?
But if they don't have the time, I take it my "office" idea is good enough?
an office in paris is easy to do just have windows and a totally indoor map
So basically a shiny somewhat neutral tech (federation Tech) with themed offices for and the Eiffel-tower out the window, and the Great hall and a KDF tech hallway for KDF?
Im in... great idea.
ESD lower levels would also be fine for me, as this is suppose to be a major starfleet hub. Either way, I don't mind a centralized area for the ambassadors that isn't just standing around where ever we can fit them.
Though I don't like an idea of them being "unlockable". these are suppose to introduce the rep system (at least the Romulan one does) and are end-game anyways, so it seems to me that some level of grind (and lets be honest, anything that has to be unlocked will require some level of grinding) would only deter players away from the system. grinding to unlock a grind doesn't sound fun to me.

Not a big issue... I'm not that popular either. All I've done for this community is push the front on attention for fleets, in my "Fleets Unite" thread... Other than that, I am a thorn in Cryptics and the Communities side.
