Tribble owners beware!

macnut87macnut87 Member Posts: 54 Arc User
I had my cannibal tribble equipped to one of my officers to avoid it eating my tribble collection however with the recent update it somehow ended up in my bank along with a winter tribble that was equipped to my science bridge officer.

I logged into my bank just before to find all my ultra rare (purple) tribbles safe but was surprised to find my cannibal tribble with an evil grin on it's face sitting with my science officer's winter tribble on one side and 18 carcasses on the other having eaten all my green and blue quality tribbles

Everything I have read has said that cannibals only eat common (white) and uncommon (green) tribbles and does not attack rare (blue) or ultra rare (purple) tribbles so why did my rare tribbles end up as dinner was there an update that made the rare tribbles more appealing to the teethy little fellows?

Also the IDIC tribble is blue quality so can it end up as dinner too?:confused:

A cannibal Tribble eats any other Tribble except special ones like Borg or Crossfire etc. The IDIC one should be safe along with any other unique ones. It will eat any non-unique ones whatever the colour so beware. Beware!

Yeah, what Robe said! You get a pretty good return for Tribble carcasses.

What mission trades the carcasses for dilithium? The Security Officer tribble bounty mission rewards latinum.

As an aside, I love the description of the failure outcome for that mission - your officer gets confined to quarters because he was accused of breeding tribbles specifically to collect the bounty. Which is what i do...

You must have placed them in there by mistake and don't remember. I have never once had an item equipped on my character or bridge officers suddenly on its own be moved to my bank. The only way for that to happen is from the player doing it themselves. Edit: I would say lag may have played a role in it but still for that to have happened you would have needed to actually be doing something with them.

Why don't cannibal tribbles eat each other? My KDF toon has like six of them. They should eat each other until only one is standing :D

Ok, what I meant to ask was "a meaningful quantity of dilithium" ;)

Only 5 dili? What happened to it being a great source for Dili or that was just a rumor I picked up ages ago?

No idea. I'd be surprised if it's the only mission that takes tribble carcasses as components, but I haven't actually heard of any others.

    Enter the Highlander Tribble.

A Cannibal Tribble that has consumed 5 (or n) other tribbles.

    There can be only one.

One has to wonder, if cannibal tribbles eat other tribbles, how come they leave carcasses. And of course you can't just shoot your tribbles to make carcasses, which would be so much easier.

Are "tribble carcasses" actually cannibal tribble droppings?

A tribble ate my tulaberry! Do you know how hard it is to get tulaberries!? And some random tribble that got picked up with the loot ate the only one I've ever found! I'm killing all tribbles that get picked up with random loot from now on, since I have a well funded and thriving breeding program I don't need yous. I'm cleaning them and selling them to the Klingons for bar-b-que!

Its not that hard at all, on the Exchange, use Lt, Common, Personal Device and 'Tulaberry' to find the lowest price posted...

When the 2800 first came out, I got some ketracel from a Jem'hadar loot bag. I also happened to have another common tribble in my inventory, but I was new to the game and didn't realize they ate and made more tribbles. So a while later I'm confused why I now have a Gamma Quadrant tribble. Well now of course I know that's it just a plain old tribble that's high on ketracel.

Moral of the story: If you feed the tribbles, what do you get? More tribbles!
I ask nothing but that you remember me.

In my breeding program I had a catastrophic failure, result, a dozen normal tribbles. I almost fell over from laughing.
