The website is nice but doesn't work properly on the iPhone. You can't access the main tabs (community, store, charge zen) making it impossible for iPhone users to charge zen and buy from the zen store when we're on the road.
I'm currently away on holidays and don't have access to a desktop. I would have loved to have bought $100 or $200 worth of zen and bought some keys to take advantage of the special offers. As I can't do it from my iPhone it seems that I miss out on keys and PWE misses out on profit. (No, PWE , I will NOT be making the purchase when the deals are over.) I can live without keys and you'll have to live without my money.
Am I the ONLY iPhone user in the entire community?
Lol no, I know a few people that have an iPhone :P
No clue why it wouldn't work though as I use google chrome on my android hehe.

It doesn't work because Wordpress, VBforums software and themes don't respect the web standards.. Can't really blame Cryptic/PWE for this one, except their choice of software and the web dev team for writing a crappy plugin on top of crappy software.

Well not entirely true...
A webteam could easily overcome web-standard issues (Web developer speaking here). It's not always easy, but it is doable... Especially if you make your own themes, witch I have to assume they do.
Granted, they'd have to alter some of the templates, but meh...
The question is: Do they want to?
Edit: But yes.... WP and VB are horrible in terms of even the simpelest standards
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

I think they chose the easiest way (like true web devs ) and just ripped something of the WP && VP template dumps and tweaked the CSS a bit.
Doable? If you want to turn bald || grey and grumphy

Well I've done it on WP, VB, Drupal 6 and 7 and PHPbb... it's not really that bad if you know what you're doing.
And TBH, I wouldn for my life consider re-using a faulty template... Professional pride, and I wouldn be able to look myself in the mirror if I did.
And often, it's much simpler to simply start with a clean slate.
In fact I am doing it on Drupal 7 with views, Panels, and several other non-standard modules right now for the municipality I am working at... You can see my work starting Feb 2'nd on http://sonderborgkommune.dk (right now it's junk... fortunally I don't have to take credit for the current page... its from before my time ^^).
Granted, it does seem to be what most lazy web developers do theese days, but it's just not my style...
EDIT: AAAAnnnd i just realized we may have de-railed it slightly.
The problem is likely that Cryptic (PWE) didn bother working on a responsive design for Apple software. Generally, that seems to be an issue, as support for mac is very limited with cryptic.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Im sorry but i have to chime in on this...YOU DO REALIZE HOW HORRIBLE ICRAP IS RIGHT?
its not in java format...never will be...Apple and anything that Apple produces will never accept certain programs because of JAVA....Steve Jobs admitted to hating the company behind it and refused to ever allow that kind of programming, its not cryptic...its anything with the stupid apple...its why apple only holds about 26% of the shares of smart phones while blackberry and droid have the rest of the market...its because of programming...dont believe me look it up..
If apple spent half as much time doing a decent job with their systems as they do going around suing everyone.they might just be a decent company...
I had an iphone when it first came out....script errors, java, video playbacks...had a horrible time getting anything to be seen right on the web...switched to a droid last year....have yet to encounter one issue.
As far as I know, CC card payments are fully possible on apple devices... At least it was when I made general webpages, and Safari is generally well made to handle web-standards.
I hate Apple as much as anyone, but I seriously doubt any of the issues you described above is at fault here.

The problem isn't really Safari or underlying engine. The problem is the IE support that is being maintained!
Many "solutions" or "fixes" for IE break stuff in other browsers which, of course, where never tested.. (I'm starting to see a relation with STO here!)
@bunansa, me thinks you is confusing Flash/Adobe with Java/Oracle.. Further, I just read, bla bla bla fan-boy stuff..
I'm a photographer and find Apple suits my needs for work. I boot my machine as a PC for STO. When I'm on holiday, like I am now, I have to depend on my idevices.
For my website I've ceased making it IE compatible as I've found it breaks on other browsers. That being said, I'm not a web developer and have VERY limited knowledge of compatability.
I would expect the web team for STO to be able to make it work. It is their job, after all...
To elaborate properly on that, you would need to read all 53 pages of the "OS2WEB Coorperative"..
And again.
It's only slow if you don't know what you are doing. Spend a little time getting to know caching both inside Drupal and server side, and you will, like me, have a Drupal site that takes less than 50 ms to render on a 2 mbps line.
I am not sure what you guys are used to working with, but some of the claims I read here are... nuts?
WP, Mac and Drupal, like any other systems run unstable or unreliable on systems they weren't designed for (for example STO on a AMD/ATI based system) and will often produce unexpected or unwanted results, but with a little tweaking and taking time to get to know the system you're working with, you will get a super nice system for free.

@anazonda, why use Drupal? Stuff is like,.. slow!
