Dispersal Pattern working as intended ?

Hi,

are the Dispersal Patterns working as intended ?
I lay some mines with DPB and after laying the next with it, the old ones simply disappear completely.

I find mines to be utterly useless with the exception of a well planted Tricobalt mine after a Tricobalt torpedo launch.

So I never really bother with maneuver type skills that involve mine nets. I think there are better more worthy maneuvers to invest in.

Sorry I could not answer your question.

They can be quite fun not only against Pet-Spam or PlasmaTorps. But i agree, now they are completely useless.

As a B'rel pilot, I love mines. DPB3 with Tricobalt or Transphasic mines is great.

However, you can only have 1 lot of mines deployed via a skill at a time, it has always been this way, to stop a major spam or screen clutter.

I think it is now, 1 group of non-skilled mines and 1 group of skilled mines deployed at a time. I used to have 3 groups of non-skilled mines with 1 group of skilled mines a long time ago, but the clutter even then was horrible.

Hmm.. haven't tried it on my heavy torpedo boat recently(Vesta can't fit DPB3).. I remember being able to deploy 2 buffed sets at once though.. they usually self-detonated about 3-4 deployments later..

As for those who believe they're useless.. I'm sorry. Dispersal Pattern Beta 3 is the sole reason I could clear both gates/gens in KASE by myself within the time-limit(provided people handle the probes). 16 quantum mines in properly equipped ship will ravage anything smaller than a tac cube. If they crit.. well.. it's quite terrifying.
