Whats the best for a sci Captain - right now I am using Fleet Nebula. How do the Wells and Vesta compare - and which is the best?

The thing I like about fleet Nebula is the 34.5k hull vs Vesta at 27.8 and Wells at 30k

I am a point and click mouse player with nothing hotkeyed so reaction time is slower.

The Wells maneuvers like an escort, and has a more flexible boff layout allowing you more options with the ship.

The Vesta deals more damage than any other sci ship because it can equip DHCs.

"Best" is dependent on what you want the ship to do.

The Vesta seems to have the most going for it since it can equip DC's and DHC's, has some really nice consoles, and hangar bays to round things out.

For tanking, the Fleet Nebula wins out, but it is comparatively slow moving.

For pretty much everything else, Vesta can do as good or better. The Vesta can shield tank, but you might need to be more active on your abilities to keep its hull in one piece. Though, the bubble shields from the three-piece bonus might be enough to give the Vesta good survivability even for a point-and-click gamer.

Wells is a neat toy from what I've seen, but I don't think it's worth the cost compared to the Vesta, unless they've gone down in exchange price pretty low.

There's no "best" science ship for a science captain. It completely depends on what you want to do. Tanking? Healing and buffing? Debuffing? Damage?
