account question

I can't get a clear answer on this, but if you have an account isn't that a type of subscription. The reason that I am asking is that I am unable to get any information about how long I have been signed up to play this game. If I am playing this game, which I am doing so, should I not be able to see how many days that I have had an account for this game. One other question that I have is this. Do the veteran awards only apply to those who basically buy them, or do they apply to everyone with an account as long as you can show how many days you have had an account.

Or better yet, get it from the horses mouth.

    https://support.perfectworld.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3992/kw/how%20long%20have%20i%20been%20playing

if that link don't work for you, see the excerpt below

    How are Veteran Rewards calculated?

Veteran Rewards are given out based on how long you've had an active subscription. This information is tallied and stored as part of the existing Accolade system in-game. Your subscription must be active for the total required number of days to complete the associated Veteran Reward Accolade. These days do not need to be consecutive. For example, if you subscribed for 60 days and canceled your subscription, then reactivated your subscription two weeks later, the first day you are back will count as day 61.

How do I check the number of days subscribed?

The definitive tracker for all Veteran Rewards is in your very own account area! To look at this information simply log into the official website and click the 'My Account' link in the upper right corner. On the right side, under Subscriptions you will see the line "Subscribed For:" with a number of days listed; this is the official tracker for your Veteran Rewards.

The other way to check requires being logged into Star Trek Online. Start by opening your Journal (the ?J? key by default) and then go to the Accolades tab. Once there, select the "in progress" option to view any of your Accolades that are not yet completed. The Veteran Reward Accolades are presented as your subscribed days out of the required subscribed days. For example, 80/100 means that you have subscribed for 80 out of 100 required days, and in 20 more days you will have completed that particular Accolade.

No, having an account isn't the same as having a subscription.

While you must have an account to have a subscription, having an account doesn't necessarily mean you have a subscription.

The account info page only shows how many days you have been an active subscriber, not how many days you've had your account. They aren't the same thing, unless you have always been subscribed.

You only count as a subscriber (and count towards veteran rewards) for the time you are a gold member (aka: subscriber).

Your played time on your characters is another number entirely, which is different from how long ago you made your account, and your subscribed for time.
