Wouldn't it be great if the next holding was an embassy between fed and kdf fleets? Each fleet would be associated with a sister fleet of the other faction, and the holding would be an embassy that members of either fleet would be able to contribute to or visit.
This could be released with a new reputation system based around pvp, as well as a new pvp adventure zone on andoria, but for this to happen, I'd like Andoria to be moved out of sirius to that kdf players could easily visit, or else build a second PvP adventure zone for the Klingons maybe a revamped Forcas III.
No offense, but I don't like the Idea of a PvP reputation system.
Why? Because how would you do a PvP Reputation system that wouldn't give unfair advantages to hardcore PvPers over new or inexperienced players? How would those features carry over to PvE?
As for Arenas on Forcas and Andoria, that I would like to see. FFA arenas that players could have their own competitions and just goof off and have fun.

While I agree that a PvP reputation system doesn't make a whole lot of sense, I could see other reputation systems being fueled by PvP activities.

Most MMO's have PVP gear, and the only way to get is by PVP So a PVP rep system would not far fetched.
As for Hardcore player getting over the inexperience...that's going to happen no matter what.

Well that's a given, but if you want people to play PvP, you're not going to make the hill too steep for them to climb. Just look at how TOR's Expertise system, it boosts PvP abilities basically gave them another 10 levels over a person of the same level. This is what I see with the STO PvP Rep system.
Now if it was like other MMOs where PvP Gear is just a variation of PvE gear, where resistances is king in PvP over the HPs of PvE, then things start to be different. But yet STO isn't built like that, the closest we got to a PVP difference is Acc over Crits. And if you have the PvP Rep system be just another boost for PvE, then you just going to have that old problem return of PvErs who are there for other reasons than PvP.
Then also factor the incredibily small PvP Population and the massive imbalances we already got in STO PvP (which even the best PvPers acknowledge), this system is just going to pour gasoline on an already broken PvP system. And the Developers are better off using that effort to finish the KDF.
Well, I once made a proposal about the Gateway some many yonks ago about how it could be used for rewards and cosmetic items that wouldn't make much sense in the game otherwise.
Things like special paint jobs, costumes, banners, flags, ship configurations, and ship parts unachievable by other means. Skull and Crossbones, flags and banners hanging off the outside of your ship, or adorning the inside, extra/cooler trophies, special ship textures, stuff like that.
They would of course, be complete fluff, basically bragging rights rewards, but honestly, this game really could use that kind of stuff. And PvP would be a good place to start.
