Has anyone yet tried to equip more than one cutting beam? No tooltip to say whether it is unique like the console.
Has anyone had more then 2 days to get more then one of these so far? ANd if so, who grinded the extra 500 omega marks and 15k Dilithium Each one?

I wouldn't trust the tooltips... there's been a bunch of "oopsie" in regard to the S7 tooltips... heck, there's a note in the patch notes for Tribble about the description being wrong as far as referring to it as a turret... the whole 360 degree thing, eh?

I easily have enough dilith and marks to get a second one, I am loving the first one, as well as the Omega Weapons Amplifier, considering putting a second one in back along with eventually the Omega Torpedo, but wouldn't want to spend the dilith if it's unique.

Exactly, the console doesn;t have enything in the tooltip to indicate it is one per ship, and yet it is. This leas me to GUESS that the cutting beam would also be unique, though unlike the console it has a "Mark" leading me to think maybe you can have more than one equipped. Hopefully a dev will see this post and give a definitive answer.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
My fleetmate was pretty underwhelmed by the cutting beam. But, he recently respec'ed his character to go all energy weapons.
Is that why he's not seeing that much damage with it?
More likely it's because it has a [DMG]x3 modifier and has no accuracy. Vs a cruiser it'd probably be alright (except there's a greater chance it'll have a kinetic resist console).
I put it on the back of my cannon/torpedo oddy, I'm getting about the same dps out of is as I do the missles and the 180 torpedo so my foreward kinetic dps has jumped a bit.
Tool tip says its affected my energy weapon stats so that may be the problem some people are having.
Probably a better option for a rear weapon on a shield striping or torpedo boat build.

50/50 chance of it being one, or the other.
I'd make another if I knew I could slot multiple.
The weapon itself is really cool.
