I was thinking of running an experiment but was curious as to whether or not it had been attempted before.

I have heard that with 3 Damage control engineers you can cycle two EXtX powers with only 1 copy of each, on that basis, is it possible to cycle all four using this method, or am I overlooking something?

Won't work. When you pop off one, a 15 second cooldown is started on all others. You activate A at Time 0, then B at T15. At T30 you can activate C, but by now A is done leaving you only B and C. At T45 you have C and D, and so on. 2 at a time limit.

2 damage control Doffs with two different EptX powers work much like if you had two copies of two different EpX powers...with 82% probability. 3rd doff raises it to 91% or so, but two doffs are most cost effective solution.

But you cant cycle more than 2 different powers.

Not really, that doesn't allow me to run maxed out weapon AND shield AND engine AND aux power levels permanently

Purple Damage Control DOffs only raise it by 35%.

First DOff gives you a 35% chance. The second one gives another 35% chance. It runs the random number generator twice. They don't add on, it's 35% twice, not 70%.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

Use binomial distribution to figure your odds. It works out to 3 blues gives 88% with lots of decimals and 3 purples gives near 91% after you round all the decimals into something.

That is % of you will successfully apply a cooldown that will allow you to continue to cycle your powers at the boosted rate.

Aux2bat lets you throw powers at cooldown its in need a a balance pass basically. A few faceroll macros and you become a machine of destruction with a few well timed batteries.

Less STO and more math lessons to you  Probability is highschool material.

    1-[(1-0,35)^4]

Number of rolls when two different EPtX powers are used
    Single DOFF chance

Of course its ages since I left highschool, so maybe you are right ! And it doesn't work at all, and the game is bugged because it does in fact work.
