I think its because they were not made for 1click 1440dilithium?
Dont get me wrong i will miss them, but you have to admit its pretty much an exploit, compare it to the rest of diltihium gathering ways, they require time, clickies is too fast
Not to mention if someone has multi toons e.g 10, thats 14400 dil for a few clicks..
[Combat (Self)] Your Bite deals 2378 (1475) Physical Damage(Critical) to Spawnmother.
This is still BS though now every body has too delete 90% of the missions be cause the do not qualify as a mission this is just point less now and i am not going to waste my time on foundry if we cant do quicky missions.
What will they take next this season sucks.
The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.
Dont remember reading anything about having to delete your mission if it isnt long enough?
Unless you mean you have to remake/delete to try and tempt people into playing it as it rewards dilithum too?
In fairness the way i see it, people who want content go for the foundry missions that someone has put effort in, regardless of length,
people who want diltihium forego any 'real' mission, and just lines up a few clickies, (ill admit, im guilty of this)
i.e., content hunters will play a mission regardless of being rewarded dilithium or not
hmm, Im sure we'll get used to it

As a foundry author, you never played Foundry missions to begin with.
You played one click exploit missions that allowed you to get 1440 Dilithium in 2 seconds of time. That's what is called an EXPLOIT. Quite frankly I am very happy that the Dev team removed the ability to use this exploit.
No your exploit missions won't go away.
They'll still be there. Just won't be qualified for using as part of the Investigate Officer Reports Daily.
So seriously , I am happy that people who never used the Foundry for anything but the exploit keep saying that they won't be using the Foundry anymore. You weren't actually using it in the first place. I, for one, won't be missing you.

for an exploit they sure rewarded well with marks and dilithium .How long was that "exploit" in the game? How many times the rewards for the "exploit" were changed/improved but not the "exploit" ?
This is still BS though now every body has too delete 90% of the missions be cause the do not qualify as a mission this is just point less now and i am not going to waste my time on foundry if we cant do quicky missions.

It is to stop people who have 40+ toons farming dilithium.
Waste time on the foundry, donate dilithium, rate and comment. Most of the authors of foundry missions put hard work into creating episodes for the community you ungreatful ****.
Hi all, yes i have 12 toons and farmed the clickies, it was the only way to really help my fleet. Buuuuttttt, it WAS an exploit and the game will be better for it being GONE!
And to the foundry authors, i do also play other missions from the foundry, really love some of the newer shuttle missions i've seen come up lately, wish you guys would make more hehe

They still farm it, it's just a little more slower.
I'd play a foundry mission if an interesting one caught my eye.
Oh this is good news, I can finally play some interesting missions again.
15 mins per mission is fine as far as I'm concerned, the missions I usually play easily last over an hour. And another thing to bear in mind is that you play these missions to enjoy the stories the authors tell you, the reward is at best a nice bonus.
The old system was an exploit and it was badly abused, even though I'm guilty of using it myself I'm glad it's been fixed.
This really is the problem with user generated content in games. Nevermind the traditional 90% TRIBBLE/10% good issue - if it gives rewards then its going to be an exploit generator. I'd argue that taking out rewards might be the best solution, although a bit too draconian for my tastes.

I liked the foundry missions (the actual missions, not the one-clickers), and have done a bunch of them. Some of them are better than the episode missions.
But, I don't want to do a total of three full length missions that have no rewards, plus no real drops from mobs, all for just 1440 dil. What I'd do, when I wanted to do a foundry mission, was do a real mission and two of the quick and easy ones. There are plenty of missions that give out 1.4k dil, so that seemed fair.
But now you have do three missions for the reward of one? Yeah, that's not so fair. I can't help but suspect that it won't just be the quick and easy daily dil missions that are going to get played a lot less with this change.
Also, it's funny how Cryptic keeps going on and on about how their goal was to get more dil into the hands of the average player, and the first thing they did in season 7 was cut a ton of sources of dil.
The OP and those who are like the OP is the problem with this game... not the seasons. Yea they had a misstep this season, but they realized it and they are fixing it. (Notice they mentioned the data they gathered... not all the rude posts...)
Don't be mad because you were gaming the system and got shut down.... it's like complaining when they stopped the Voldemort exploit... ("now I can't fly with two shields, this season sucks this is BS").....

Well, they want a certain time/risk vs reward ratio, and that's likely difficult to balance with the nature of the Foundry. Certainly, they don't want you doing one mission and getting the reward of 3 (or more). They have tried to increase rewards in official/regulated activities they have far more control of.

Explain way we cant do quicky mission on the foundry this is just dumb as hell if we cant do quicky This is such BS
"Quicky" missions ruined the community-authored stuff in City of Heroes. I don't want that to repeat here.
The fact that you can no longer farm endless dilithium on your hordes of toons means my correctly earned dilithium is now worth more ZEN. I have zero empathy for your problem and the fact you won't use it hurts no one but you.
I grow tired of people who feel the universe revolves around them.
Hmm...why can't we do quickie missions for dil anymore....Could be because....it was kinda crappy and a big middle finger to those who did REAL (read: missions with more content than a one click "I WIN" button) foundry missions.
Also, it's funny how Cryptic keeps going on and on about how their goal was to get more dil into the hands of the average player, and the first thing they did in season 7 was cut a ton of sources of dil.
Before Season 7, I would get close to 20k dil daily with the clickers officer report, most of my friends online made roughly 2k in about the same time playing missions that awarded dil. Now, we all earn roughly the same amount of dil for the same amount of time played. So yeah, statisticly, the average player now earn as much dil as us non-average player.
Now, the OP, two questions, Was the foundry missions ultimate goal to provide easy Dil, or was it to allow players to create and play user generated content?? Do you think the Officer Report mission was created to provide you with an easy source of dilithium? or was it created as an incentive to have players play foundry missions?
I for one will be happy to go back to the foundry to work on my missions, I found it kind of sad, that I got more dilithium tips from my clickies than a fleshed out mission.
- - - Edit - - -
On a final note, please petition for the creation of a newly daily Cryptic mission that gives out Dilithium just for loggin in, but please don't drag foundry missions into that. Foundry missions deserve recognition and deserve to be played and be rewarded.

Exactly, I found the posts to be highly offensive to foundry authors.

Yeah, the AE babies were definitely a problem. Unable to actually play the game with any basic competency, horrible builds that would never actually work in the real game, constantly spamming the chat channels, cluttering up the AE with stupid PL missions, etc.
I feel some sympathy for players who've been there/seen that and are trying to power-level past "the boring bits," but they're also the ones who will find the most efficient routes regardless of exploit usage. But, then, the AE's rewards were NOT comparable to Dilithium...

I played the clickies but only when on a time crunch. I actually loved the UFP/Nagus dailies the most when I had twenty minutes. They were also a fantastic way to test out new weapons and configurations without getting blown to smithereens. And dilithium to boot.
The fifteen minute requirement is a little long. Ten is much more reasonable, but there should be a balance.
I would love to play more foundry missions, I don't because if I want to advance, I need to grind dilithium. If I didn't have to grind dilithium, I'd be able to do more foundry missions...and develop an alt.
"Rise like Lions after slumber, In unvanquishable number, Shake your chains to earth like dew, Which in sleep had fallen on you-Ye are many they are few"
The New way is just stupid be cause there is only a certain timer now you can not even do a 5 min one.
Yes you can play all of them but the matter of fact here is that you will not get the credit too the Daily officer reports.
I any case they keep giving us less and less Dilithium.Witch is all most total Bs.
Look At STF's for instance they gave us less for elites and then made them three times harder too complete them with very little reward in return. This is the major issue that is the real problem.
The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.
Only a blithering idiot would fail to see that the daily was designed to encourage people to play proper foundry missions. Whilst the clickies existed people could boost their dilithium earnings. Rather than complain about the clickie being taken away (as it should have been) be thankful that you could do it for so long.
Long live proper foundry missions with actual stories!!

DaStahl's observation and my response on the new "ineligible" foundry missions:

If you want the 1440 Dilithium from the Foundry daily - you must play a Foundry mission that "qualifies" - meaning it has to be at least 15 minutes of gameplay.
We've held off on making this change in the hopes that players would police the simple missions and have them removed - but it just didn't happen.
If we had a better solution for the Foundry daily, we would go with it - but for now - Sorry you have to play at least a 15 minute long mission.
We will look into increasing the reward if the average length of Foundry missions that players are playing is greater than 15 minutes - but we're waiting to see if players will stop using these missions as an "easy" way to get Dilithium.
MY RESPONSE:
Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute. It's not one 15 minute long foundry mission , it's THREE. The foundry just came up today and I immediately went to try an investigate officer reports mission because our fleet is sorely in need of fleet marks since the opening of season 7. I have invested over 45 minutes at this point and still am in need of one more foundry mission to complete the investigate off reports daily. I'm sorry but an extra hour of foundry missions every day is NOT what anybody should be forced to do to obtain a measly 50 fleet marks.
The investigate officer report daily was/is CRUCIAL to fleets(especially small or medium size fleets) to obtain the outrageous fleet mark requirements for fleet projects and upgrades. It was also crucial that the 3 foundry missions not take up a tremendous amount of time as there are a myriad of other responsibilities and items that need to be procured to advance the fleet.
By instituting this "15 minute minimum" qualification time for foundry missions to qualify for investigate officer reports daily, you are A. Finding another way to slowly drain the life out of the fleet system. B. adding another annoying grindfest facet to the STO gameplay experience. & C. Subconsciously creating animosity towards the the whole foundry system and foundry writers - foundry projects are supposed to be a way that player/members can express their creative talents and showcase them to the general STO community. Foundry projects SHOULD be a way for the community to enjoy the fruits of other members imaginations and, ultimately, become a treasure trove of content that can possibly be pulled into the STO cannon at a later date if said missions are of high quality. I thoroughly enjoy taking my spare STO time and perusing the foundry to find mission descriptions that seem appealing to me and playing said missions. By FORCING me to have to MAKE time daily and require me to play 3 LONG foundry missions; you're only succeeding in making the foundry seem like a grinding daily chore to me. Eventually I and others will not see the foundry missions as a useful creative outlet and tool, but, rather, something to disdain as an additional daily headache.
Either return investigate daily officer reports to it's previous season 6 structure OR change the requirement for investigate officer reports from 3 foundry missions to only one(that is fair) - otherwise you risk slowly destroying both the foundry and the fleet system in one fell swoop.
Hey, markarich, why don't you write down every other system you'd like to exploit. We'll then all write a letter to PWE on your behalf just so you can dodge the regular game mechanics.
I'm still seeing clicky missions that count for the daily. This system isn't as full-proof as they thought. They need to go back and re-look at some things again.
I really like the idea of 1 decent foundry mission (15 mins or so) to get the reward. As things stand now, you are looking at 45-60 mins.
Cryptic have shown they are willing to listen to the players by making further changes to the economy/reward system. Lets hope they properly consider this so we can dispense with the 1 click missions AND make foundry missions worthwhile from the average players point of view.
Explain way we cant do quicky mission on the foundry this is just dumb as hell if we cant do quicky This is such BS
while essentially, I agree with you, I doubt the "head developer" whose name i will not mention here is inclined to return them. Personally, I stopped doing officer reports as I have 20+ toons, and it is unrealistic to be able to do them on all of my characters now. thanks, cryptic.
