Here's what I plan on picking for Tier 2 (I fly an escort):

And, I thought the Tier IV ability for the Romulans was different than the Omega Tier IV reward. I don't think Wiki has the correct info. But, for the life of me, I can't remember what the that other Tier IV ability could be.

Also, I thought the Placate was supposed to last 2 seconds, and had 20% chance to proc. This was according to in-game info. The description does not say whether or not there is an immunity after the proc happens. The heal ability does have that description, so I'm hoping that the placate does too.

I would probably go for the instant heal if the Tier IV rewards are the same for Omega and Romulans.

Cool post. It reminds me of those multiple choice tests I used to do in school lol. I wish there was an "All of the above" lol.

Very difficult to put choices up here due to the fact your selection is so broad. However, if you narrowed it down to perhaps a Tactical Jem Hadar all Energy build, you may get better feed back.

People have too many variations to consider.

    A, D and F I think.

Tier IV omega is not a placate, STO wiki is wrong, I can't remember what it is off the top of my head. H is actually pretty nice. That's 3x the Borg Shield regen, don't know if that value scales with skills, shield power or which shields you are running.

I have a question - I'd like to get Omega weapon training "Increases your Weapon Training skill by 30" BUT my weapon training is maxed. Anyone know if it'd add to that or would I be wasting the choice?

it would add an invisible boost of 30 so if your at 99 it would really be 129, meaning more damage with the gun.

    I would do A, D, E, and H

Have to figure much of that's going to revolve around the particular build and the ship - what you're doing. Which is going to make it rough down the line being stuck with whatever you select when you might be doing X only to find you're doing Y down the road - definitely makes it a more complicated choice than most things.

    A: +CrtH
    C: +HullRegen
    F: PlacateOnCrit
    G: KineticProc

Is what I've been looking at off and on since information first started coming out about it.

    I can defintely see where folks would go +CrtH, +WepSkill, +ShieldHealOnCrit, +ShieldRegen or +WepSkill, +HullRegen, +ShieldHealOnCrit, +ShieldRegen...

Why did I pick F though? I'm thinking anti-Science Vessel. I'm picturing FAW, CSV, TS, DPB, etc - and - breaking Sensor Analysis. Doesn't matter if it's a nanosecond placate if it breaks Sensor Analysis.

Sure, that's pointless with a non-Science Vessel...and it's something I may change my mind on before I make the choice...

...cause heck, there's still figuring out where the new DOFFs might fit into things as well.

I will take H definitly, because I like regenshield builds.

one thing that i WOULD change though for the shield regen on getting critical hit....make so its heals 25% of the damage of the crtical hit to all shield facings rather than just a locked in number

I looked up how +30 weapons training would effect your DPS.

    http://home.comcast.net/~amicus/Skill%20Point%20Effects.htm

So, this means that +30 gives you 7.5% more damage. Thus 2* +30 gives you 15% more damage.

This accounts for all energy and torps/mines. But also DEM, plasma proc.

So I think this would be a good choice for (high DPS) cruisers.

And true, you have to really decide which kind of ship you wanna use with which toon for long time, because with escorts I would go for heals and +crit...

My DPV/DPS prior to the +30 Weapon Training was 2,083.3/1,388.8 for a mk XII DHC.

Post +30 Weapon Training passive, it is now 2,148.5/1,432.3.

About a 65.2/43.5 difference. Nothing too huge, but pretty helpful.

I'd like to know the answer to that question as well.

I see no indication that the accuracy critical hit bonus is working.
