Private ques are down, anything worth using in pvp can only be earned via pve.
pve stf's lost dilithium, then after an outrage got dilithium back. thats a nice finger to the pvp community that has been begging for fleet marks to be added to pvp in some way.
the romulan embassy costs only half as much as a starbase but because everyhting now costs a ton of dilithium the romulan embassy will still take just as long as the starbase.
no word from our "pvp dev." since he was first mentioned when the guy named gozer left.
why has this games pvp been neglected so badly?
-updates will be added as needed-
tractor beam repulsor has been fixed.
rumor has it that the voldamort bug is back, bigger and better then ever.

Did you notice you can get an exchange terminal in the embassy ? Funny how you CAN't get one on your fleet starbase but they let you buy a shuttle that'll run routes between the embassy and your fleet starbase.
Our fleet still hasn't determined if the embassy is a total waste of time, or just partial.
I think the bug what caused you have more boff stations is back....

"Cryptic Studio’s Jack Emmert (2010): Microtransactions are the biggest bunch of nonsense. I like paying one fee and not worrying about it – like my cellphone. The world’s biggest MMO isn’t item based, even though the black market item GDP is bigger than Russia … microtransactions make me want to die.”
I don't know that neglected is the right word. We've gone through several Devs that have worked on PvP over the years and each of them has left Cryptic within a few months (or weeks) of starting work on PvP.
Maybe their work was getting put on the back-burner to often, maybe they got depressed when they started listening to what quality players had to say about the game, I don't know and we'll never really know.
EDIT: Cryptic may have finally done it to themselves, if you look at the other sub-forums people are not doing the normal thanking of Cryptic with new Season releases, even for the Vesta. Only time will tell though...

Really? A giant Season update, and THIS is the PvP update for the week?
Has anyone reviewed the new ships to find whether or not they're throwing PvP for a loop, or are hopelessly buggy (other than the obvious Steamrunner stat bugs that were fixed today)?
I'm curious what a full team cycling that Steamrunner console power might be able to accomplish in terms of survivability...
And what about the Reputation powers? I saw some grumbling a few weeks ago when they were released to Tribble, but is anyone looking at them on Holodeck? Have they been changed at all?
(Also, I wonder what ever happened to ... one of the Devs mentioned having a way to test these on Tribble...)
this whole thing with the stfs getting dil again is a BS pr campaign to disguise the hose job on the easy money that was fleet actions. they gave 1440 and for us 2 purple items and could be blown through easily. now season 7 truly is a dil wasteland.

How about the crashing DtZ Exchange and how it could make it easier for folks to pick up various P2W consoles before PWE steps in, adjusting the market or making some other change?
Sure, it's not really directly related to PvP - but look at the timeframes they're discussing for folks to be able to unlock things with the new system. So folks are looking at 2-4 months or more for something that was 2-4 weeks or less...ahem, heh, lol, omfgroflmaopimp, ahem.
Oh yeah, when I last looked the Exchange was at 143D:1Z... was 158-159D:1Z less than two days ago.

Ya the currency crash is hillarious.... I would bet it gets as low as 100 per. We'll see though.
Goes to show customers have placed a $ value on the content in STO already... if Cryptic is going to try to inflate pricing by patching out the fake currency... people spending the real one will simply adjust the market. End Result Cryptic is going to make the EXACT same amount of $ they where making before. lmao
You know what players should honestly do with this S7 greed patch... is come together and only post your dilithium for sale for 75 every single time... Get enough people behind that and I bet we could crash there market and grind there Cstore to Dilithium purchasing market to halt. Not sure enough of the pve kids would get on board... would be a nice protest though.

Never heard of price fixing. Cryptic will not allow the price to drop too much. They will simply readjust.
Didn't dstahl claim that people were earning more dilithium than before? If this was true, wouldn't it lead to higher dil per zen prices? Or am I thinking in the wrong direction here?

There are just so many Dil sinks now - that even if folks might earn more, they've got to spend it like never before. Heck, even the DOFF General Recruitment costs 1k Dil now...
It's one of the reasons they caved on some of the changes - folks would have walked away.

Well either they wanted to fool players and intentionally tried to mislead them, or they just didn't really think about the changes.
Now to quote the dev blog:
Concern 1 ? Active level 50 players are refining far less Dilithium than we expect them to.
Prior to Season 7, the average amount of Dilithium refined by an active level 50 player was 3100 per session or 13,250 per week. That is far less than the cap of 8000 per day when you consider that most level 50 players play multiple days per week and slightly more than the average hours per session.
At the sound of that they are talking about characters, not accounts. Since the dil cap is per char. The first question would be, how many chars does the average player have? let's say you have 4 chars. 3 of them do the click daily and one is played actively. That would mean 3 of them get... what was it? about 1.4k dil? The active char gets 8k since it was pretty easy to reach that. That means we got (8 + 1.4 * 3)/4 k as average dilithium per char. That would be about 3k.
So it is true, on average a char only uses 3k of his daily dilithium but the account gets about 12k dilithium. With the new system they wanted you to get 8k dil in 4 hours.
With the old system, the click daily and 4 chars I would say you got the 12k dil in 2-3 hours. Depending on your faction and what you actually did.
So basically they either tried to fool us or they did not understand their data. So I would say an account with 4 chars gets now on average 1/2-3/4 of the old dilithium if he plays about 3 hours a day. The less you play the worse it gets, the more chars you have the worse it gets. Also they introduced new dilithium sinks.
So the conclusion: the new system screws dilithium income of almost every player and especially those who might only be able to play 1h per day.
Edit: Something I forgot. I suppose they only count chars that are actually logged in on a day. So that means with the click daily gone people might stop to log in each char every day. That means if the look now on the average dilithium per char it might increase even if the average dilithium per account decreases.
So they might not even realize that they screwed everyone but think they helped, which is a pity.
Didn't dstahl claim that people were earning more dilithium than before? If this was true, wouldn't it lead to higher dil per zen prices? Or am I thinking in the wrong direction here?
Only if the demand for dilithium increases and from the sounds around the forums there are a lot of people who are giving up so demand may net drop, meaning prices will drop.
Quick someone make a video podcast, get Gecko on there, and show him this completely new, working as intended, never seen or heard before behavior. These guys only recognize Voldi when it hits them with a stick.
Boff placements after changing ships seem to be bugged. I often see that only one or two BOs get seated correctly and the remaining stations stay empty.
