At the risk of sounding dense...

Many people trying to use the patcher MIGHT just affect the speed... just MIGHT :/

MACO Space set had a little extra.
I only got 18.47 with the Mark XII engine and nine
points in Driver Coil. How'd you get 20?

this is true but with as long as this game has been running they should be able to have patch servers that could support the player base

The next planned improvement to Star trek Offline. Make the patching speed even slower. LOL.

My god. Surely they would know how many people would be patching & would have sorted somert out. They surely knew that this could happen. So why didn't the Devs plan for it.

i can assure you that FAR FAR FAR MORE people use SWTOR patcher and have never had issues like this... even at launch. its sad that star trek is run off some devs laptop instead of real servers.

    0.1% per minute = +-18kbps
For mother of god, find network with better Up rate or allow P2P opt in client for patch. This situation is terrible for us ...

Downloaded client yesterday whilst blisfully unaware of imminent patchness.

Got into trouble creating an account (seriously, two types, four pages of "FAQ" text on "linking accounts.")

Gave up, went to bed and slept.

Got up and did things, then got back home. Made account (got no activation mail though.)

    Now patching 1600 MB at 10 kB/sec...

Considering other games.... (see how that works people running this game?)

EDIT: can sopmeone provide a link to a full offline installer? I need it both for this situation ANd because a friend might want the game client and is has limited traffic (not bandwidth though.)

How fast people forget season 6 the same thing happend in fact season 6 we did not even know till that day when it was coming out. And the site did not update till some time after that.

Most of that is true, however, there was still changes to the banners in the website, so that anyone coming to the site would know Season 6 was on. As it stands right now, if someone was new to the game, or just not paying attnetion, they wouldn't know that Season 7 was live, let alone, of any concern.

Tribble Servers patching quicker than Holodeck & thats saying somert. Not good when the test server is patching quicker than the main server.

I was running off of the US proxy server but have switched back to None and now it seems to be going faster. It pretty obvious that as more people complete there patch, there should be more bandwidth for us all.
