Im an Enginner (yes, I know, reroll), flying primarily a Fleet Vorcha Refit. Usually running 2 piece Omega and KHG shield, or 3 piece Omega. Weapons vary from Antipolaron through Phased Tetryon and Polaron... still cant pick a favourite of the 3, though im really enjoying the Phased Tetryon. Considering Tricobalts and Dispersal Pattern Beta 2 (though it would cost me my APO, which Im very fond of, and probably require me to lose either Tractor Beam or HE for Polarize Hull)
Getting better at PvP, far from a pro. Posting my build here hoping for comments, concerns, criticisms, etc. Any input would be appreciated.

Gone are the days when we could break out a new toon, level it in a weekend and throw it in a night's worth of STFs for the required gear to be ready to PVP on a Monday. Rep Systems rule the day!
Passive Skill Respec Tokens... do it, right now, do it, do it, come on... right now, OK! One two THREE! Do it, do it...

2010: This is Cryptic PvP. Please hold the line, your call is very important to us...
Secondly, lol2rsp.
Unless you have doffs to chain 2 subsystem etpX with only 1 copy of each, take a second copy of epts.
IMO, if you're not in a science ship, and you only have 2 sci powers, bring HE1 TSS2.
Drop at least one of those rsp's for... basically anything. ET ES EWP etc.
With only one lt cmdr tac, I would prefer something with better up-time. APD2 for example.
To fly your build with as few a modifications I would replace apo with delta 2, get doffs for eptX powers. replace rsp2 with ewp1 and replace TB with TSS. With those changes, I still wouldn't be happy because of 2 reasons.
1) Any tac escort will do what you do only better.
2) Engineers are better suited to a healer role.
I haven't played in a while, so grain of salt etc.
more tankable and use 3.pink tech. doffs for this my recomend is for this also is to use beams with [acc]x3 or in phased case [acc]x2 some of ur buffs can be trained by other players pm. me if u need other help for this
Starship Sensors are either borked, or the tooltip is. Currently, spec'ing points into it only provides a boost to stealth detection. FOMM and SenScan are not affected at all. This started with the new skill tree and has never been fixed.
Interesting to know, now I will drop sensors on my tac and my sciscort too if I ever respec them, thanks.
Im running 3 DOFFs for EPTX, and 2 for Brace for Impact Looked at an Aux2Batt build, but the extra clicking was alot to handle.
Why all the hate on 2xRSP? Theyve let me run an RSP-BFI-RSP-BFI with essentially a full shield refresh every 2 minutes. Ive been playing in pugs, and getting focused by 3-4 people with no support from my teammates happens... constantly. I've not been doing a good job of surviving that without an RSP available.
I was running TSS... but I fould the shield heal pretty minimal in the face of Angry Bug DPS. Either as a self heal, or another heal, even with full Aux... it just didnt seem to do enough healing to help. Id slap it on other people to try to save them, and didnt seem to make as much difference as a Tractor did to help keep attackers off arc. Active rather than passive mitigation.
I notice some people recommend major ranks in Energy Weapons Specialization... do you feel the extra crit and crit severity are worthwhile on an Enginner? Lacking all the free crit goodies they give the Tacticals, and given that Crit Chance and Crit Severity are multiplicative, it seems that Crit is either a 'go big or go home' sort of state... suggesting a Tactical Officer and Antipolarons.
As for STFU and Lrn2Heal... I tried a healspec Neggy, and enjoyed it well enough... but I felt like the heals I contributed (even specced, running aux, etc.) didnt match up with the DPS that even a single good DPS ship would put out, and that I was contributing more by pressuring that DPSer, so that they couldnt spend their time merrily lining up people and one-pass-killing them.
For TSS to be effective you need to crack open an auxiliary battery before use, or switch settings to something with more auxiliary bias.
Who said that?
Though if a full negvar worth of heals wasn't keeping a target up under fire from 1 ship...
Im bad at quoting:
1.) Agreed, as to opportunity cost on RSP in a team setting. If one can anticipate cross healing, its an overinvestment, and a selfish investment, in survivability. Id much prefer on a team setting to take TSS, give it to others in need, and expect the same in return. If I find an organized group to play with, I'll definitely do that. As for TSS? I had 100 Aux at the time, it just wasnt enough.
2.) I was having trouble keeping people alive in Pug v Pug PvP. Some of that may be my own lag time in healing... by the time I could identify the focus fire target, they were mostly melted. Perhaps if Miracle Worker could be shared... *sigh*
Again, thanks for the input, and keep it coming!

Are you clicking on the players or there faces in the team window to heal them? that takes to long, you have to use the F keys to target fast and heal. F2 for the top team mate F3 for the next one under him and so on.
Yeah I agree, I was doing DPB3 on my B'rel while cloaked for awhile, got bored of it. It actually got more op in pve then pvp in my experience though since many pvpers caught on and have something to counter tric mines now like SS or FAW. Of course I could have still used AMS or SS before doing the tric mines but doing those together is way too unfair lol.
