well since there doesn't seem to be anyone willing to carry the torch, i guess ill do it.

tractor beam repulsors were doing too much damage, this might have been fixed with season 7

the vesta is pretty powerful, leading to the next ship being even more powerful. this is the way the game is it seems.

SEASON 7 is going live today, good luck everyone!

to copy the old format, anything relevant will be added as its learned. since season 7 is doing all kinds of changes to pvp (some good some bad) next weeks will detail more then this weeks

Frankly, I think the only sound advice that one can give new players at this time is to stay away from PVP in STO.

    vesta kills: 0

gonna do something about that tomorrow

fear of a good player in a vesta and a good team using a vesta: HIGH

gonna say i told you so about that tomorrow

TBR should be all fixed with this patch, and runabouts are getting a TB up time nerf, that there is really awesome.

also this was in the release notes:

"Added Shield Regen Rate to ship status window.

Note that this only works while in space."

this is cool, now let us see our shield resistance too

No mention of TBR fixing in that pach. No mention of Vesta, too.

Breaking TBR was not in patch notes as well. So fingers crossed. :P

Seconded. In fact, all the "hidden" ship stats (such as the mechanics of Damage Control Team) should be displayed in the UI.

For a while, the damage control team was visible in space traits along with everything else. Then it was removed.

Regen is kinda nice to see, but you could always calculate it your self = base shield regen x4 on 125 shield.

I bug reported that the GUI does not work properly with several shields, I'm very curious if that got fixed.

These new abilities added through reputation systems are going to wreck any chances of true competition for people who don't use key binds. The screen is going to get cluttered as well imo.

    First, some questions:
    1. No Vesta yet?
    2. TBR fixed?
    3. Is over-capping weapon power still possible?
    4. What previous changes/fixes were rolled back? (something always is... I hope for uber-dbb-faw or 2xPSW3 damage!)

    Also,
    Updated the Assimilated Space Set:
Universal Console - Assimilated Module has been removed from the set
This console has become 1 piece of a new 3-piece set, attained via the Omega Reputation
The former 4-piece Bonus (Assimilated Tractor Beam) is now a 3-piece bonus that can be obtained by equipping the Shield, Engine and Deflector.
All other existing stats and bonuses remain otherwise unchanged.
Temporal Disruption Device will now be properly enhanced by Chroniton modifiers instead of Tricobalt.
Reman Space Set: Covariant Capacitance Cell, the 3-piece Bonus, has been improved:
Proc chance increased from 5% to 10%
Max stack limit increased from 5 to 10.
This allows for up to a total of 50% additional Shield Capacity.
The proc now raises Current Shield HPs by the same amount that it increases Max Shield HPs.
These extra shield hitpoints will be removed when the capacity buff fades.
This has the possibility of taking a shield facing offline, if it was already low.

Aren't all but one of them passives? I thought only the tier 5 ability was a clickie...

    The vesta is coming:
And, because I know it's going to be asked, C-Store releases don't show up in the patch notes. The Vesta(s) and bundle are still scheduled to go live tomorrow :)

Thats form the Tribble notes on 8. November:
[*]Tractor Beam Repulsors will no longer allow its Kinetic Damage to gain benefit from Particle Generators skill twice.

My stomach is clear and my mind is full of bacon!

You're probably right, but if they keep adding clickies for every rep system things are going to get ridiculous. I already spend the majority of pvp matches looking at my cool downs.

I would also guess FaW or leech stacks broken again

I can't wait to PvP! Errrr...I mean PvE...

    I can't believe I said that!

Every season release is like a match between PvE and PvP

...and the result is always 15-0 for PvE.

Now is the time to unite PvPers, all 10 of us! lol.

I'm curious if they nerfed the dilithium rewards for PvP as well. Kinda didn'T try that out on tribble...

Sadly the Reman set still doesn't seem like it can compete. The stacks still don't refresh so the stacks are essentially fighting each other. 2 is the same as none and 3 is the same as 1. If they refreshed so you stopped getting heals but kept the capacity to heal into it once you hit max stacks then you'd be talking.

Currently it's probably the best shield if you're only getting shot at from one side and you can keep TT up. Those shield procs will get funneled into the appropriate side and once the side that's not taking damage is empty there's no downside to the stacks expiring.

For the rest of us that get shot at by more than one person, it's not so hot. If you see the shield proc and a TT on somebody then whatever side is getting redistributed away from is about to show you some hull.

This is just my impression from PvE on tribble, the Reman 3 piece proc under a coordinated alpha might produce something entirely different, like the unintended BFI effectiveness.

It depends if you can keep the shields up I guess. The huge cap + RSP = huge shields. Let's wait how that will turn out.

True, true. I forget, what's the RSP cd with 2 A2B's? Hmmm...

Also the 2 pc plasma torp remains hilariously fast. Under 4k or so only an AoE is gonna stop it.

We're all doomed to a ****ty life of grinding for passive skills to stay competent against the next guy who grinds it.

We're all doomed to flying Jemmys, Oddys, Vestas or whatever the latest money-making hotness is.

We're all doomed to either farming for ECs or throwing money at the PC screen to get the newest doffs, consoles, whatever.

Meh. Come at me Bran, I know you queue from time to time...
