Thoughts on mixing sets to get most power bonus?

I probably will be reconsidering my set use if I keep playing past S7. The 2/2 is what I use now most often, but I'm looking at what is available and reconsidering my options.

Thought: Mix sets (losing the bonuses) to get the most power bonus possible:
AEGIS deflector, + shields
KHG engine, +weapons, +shields
KHG shield, 2 part gives + aux, but also crew resist (which is nice) and warhead damage.

Others: Borg console, +5 weapons
Tachyokinetic: does this add subsystem power also? I don't have it, not sure.

Are there other options for better mix-matching to get the most subsystem power, out there?

Thoughts?

Best mix using only 1 of any particular set? Other thoughts?

Discuss!

The breen engines give a listed 7.5 bonus engine power. However, they actually just give 5 bonus power. Tachyokinetic does not give a boost to any power subsystems.

my favorite the 3 piece borg with maco 12 shields is gone in season 7. i guess you could still use that set up if you wanted. i have now abandoned that set up to get ready for season 7.

i decided to keep my sets "pure", so i am using the borg set and maco 12 set primarily. i have a couple ships that use the omega 12 or aegis set.

once season 7 starts i may shuffe the sets around to see what works best on each ship, but so far my set ups seem to be working pretty well. i really don't see a lot of difference between the borg and maco 12 sets on ships where i have tried both sets.

i'm eager to see what might be introduced in season 7 as far as sets are concerned. the last couple of sets i tried were very disappointing.

the jem hadar set was a fair amount of work and i keep that set on a shuttle. the biggest disappointment was the reman set. for that kind of work to upgrade to level 12 i expected it to be really good. i was wrong. i use it, but it is not a great set. looks cool but that is about it.

i also find the fleet deflectors, engines and shields to be a joke.

my recommendation is maco 12 or borg.

Good to know! Of the 2, though, the awesome boost KHG engines give puts them above all others so far (even without any set bonuses). The only problem is they only apply this power bonus to certain ship types. Carriers only get an aux bonus, it seems.

KHG shield + engines: +8.8 aux power.
Add a borg deflector, that's another +5 to aux.

For Crazy Crew Resist ... the Dominion Shield with the KHG Engine and Deflector is crazy good on a cruiser or science ship. I like it a lot on my Kafari as I can use one Shield Consule an hit 10K shields . Also with both the bonuses to crew resist my crew never goes down and an aux bonus . :D

Adapted HG shields: +10 power all systems (x5 power conduit stack)
    HG engines: +3.8 weapons/shields/aux
HG deflector: +7 aux (2 piece Tactical readiness)
    Assimilated console: +5 weapons
Plasmonic Leech console; +16 power all systems

Sme numbers may vary due to flow capacitor skills

KHG shields don't add +10 to all subsystems.

He's talking about the Adapted ones hitting Season 7, basically MACO specs but KHG looks (Feds have Adapted MACO). Though, I don't hit a full 10 Power Conduit Link stack all the often on MACO shields.
