The prequel to Battlestar Galactica will premiere Friday the 9th on Machinimas youtube channel.

They will be featured as 10, 7-12 minute mini episodes. A TV airing and DVD release are scheduled for next year.

This tells the story of a young William Adama during the Cylon War.

Who else is really excited? :D

I've been burning for more BSG since I finished the series last year. Blasted through all of it in 2 weeks. :D

    Meh.

I enjoyed most of BSG. I was excited when BSG was ending and the rumors of this started. But, I HATED the ending of the final episode. I never watched Caprica, but I heard it sucked. I liked The Plan.

I don't like the 15 minute episode web format. The teaser looked cool, so I'll wait until I can watch the whole thing on DVD.

Caprica was painful! Like watching a futuristic soap opera. I was hoping it would lead to the first cylon war,and it just dragged on in a dramatic slow motion.BSG, that was a great series.
I hope syfy does something based on the first cylon war.If this shoots straight to DVD, then it probhably wont be made into a new series.:(sad.

It's a about frakking time. Doug Drexler, who has worked on much of Star Trek, was part of the production team. It was, unfortunately, consistent with SyFy to pull the plug before even giving the pilot a viewing slot.

and that SUCKS! They should have given it a chance, and let the ratings decide it's feasablity as a potential series.

I must be one of the few that loved Caprica. Either way, since the unauthorized trailer, I have been waiting for this one to come out. I am wondering if the Halo 4 Forward unto Dawn series paved the way for this.

Caprica was ... ok. It could have been more during its run, imo.

Now, if Halo received *any* more attention than in commercials, I'd be on it like white on rice.

The Forward Unto Dawn series is five live-action 15min short episodes that was released on Machina for the last five fridays. Its about a group of cadets that are attacked by the Covenant at their academy. Master Chief shows up in episode four.

This was awesome. I watched all 5 episodes after the 5th one came out. I must be kind a dense, because it took until halfway through before I realized it was a prequel to HALO: Combat Evolved, not just HALO 4.

I actually went back on what I said and have been watching Blood and Chrome as it's released. It's actually pretty good. The Galactica flight deck looked more like what I thought it to should look like in BSG. It always seemed too small in the series. Still the short episode, week long wait is annoying. I will probably watch it online as it comes out and buy the DVD when it comes out in February.

So far I am loving Blood and Chrome. I am so happy we finally get to see what the rest of the Colonial fleet looks like instead of just Battlestars.
