My last PvP was really bad.
There was two guy are waiting for people and they were staying nearby the respawn zone to shot player who respawns. No way to defend because our system is deactivated for several seconds. But them, they could shout us. What's the goal? They made the game disgusting.
So I would like to know what's the counter strike against this kind of situation.

I'm sorry you experienced this disgusting behaviour. Do not be discouraged by this. Not every pvper around does this. Just go get some drink and wait till that match is over.
What disgusts me most are players who moan about empty pvp queues, afkers in pvp and such, and then go and make the gameplay experience horrible for new player.
Some even have the guts to beg feds to enter FvK in open pvp channel and then proceed to camp their respawn point

Seems like they were tric spamming and probably using VM too.
The best defense against that kind of camping is to move as quickly as possible from the spawn at the beginning. So many guys tend to take their sweet time getting into the fight.
I see this happen almost always on the Fed side. On the Klingon side people move more quickly into the fight.
The Impulse console might help (Universal console from the Gladius Escort) It's not foolproof but by the time you've shot forwards 20-30KM they've barely realized

This is why I avoid Ker'rat. I used to go there because it was a place where Klingons and Feds were supposed to put aside their differences and fight a common enemy. However, all it has become is a place for KDF to cloak and fire upon Feds, who have to fight two enemies instead of one.
As I dislike wasting my time, I now go elsewhere.

Ker'rat has never been a Co-operation Zone for the KDF and the feds.
It has always been a contest between the KDF and feds as to whom can finish the mission first set within a open PvP zone.
In fact the zone and mission is not even set-up to recognize and reward co-op play, much less sponsor it by its design.
However, all it has become is a place for KDF to cloak and fire upon Feds, who have to fight two enemies instead of one.
As I dislike wasting my time, I now go elsewhere.
Or its become a place where the feds fire upon the KDF as they attempt to do the mission.
Its a open PvP zone after all.
Enter at your on risk.
On the OPs note, Spawn Camping happens in Ker'rat far more often than any where else mainly due to the "no rules" setting and the restart bug for the instance.
It sucks but not much can be done for it.
In a CnH or Arena, spawn camping has no excuse and is just a cheap tactic in my opinion.
Agreed about Ker'rat. I spend most of my PvPing time there. It's free game for anyone, anytime. I've seen both sides spawn camping. Feds will do it to KDF, and KDF will do it to feds.
It's an open zone, and that's just what people will choose to do, in any kind of PvP.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
For Arena start moving right away. Even if you need time to coordinate move away, it doesn't need to be toward the otherside and can be away from it to buy you time to get situated. If you don't bother moving, the otherside will think you don't care and just try and get it over with quickly b/c it's not fun for them and no reason to drag it out.
For C&H and Kerrat you're fighting over resources and imo it is a valid tactic to suppress the otherside from obtaining said resources. Also, KDF have a dilithium mission for killing turrets so in C&H you may see them blowing up your spawn point defenses.
As far as beating a spawn camp, bfi, pop an engine battery, hit evasives, and pop a hold breaking Boff ability such as PH or APO if needed in that order. Spam distribute shields as well. Equip a hyperimpulse engine. Have ET ready incase they try and nuke your engines. In addition to BFI you may need to sub in Kinetic resist consoles and aux2damp if there's tric mines. If there are mines you may want Deut as a backup b/c they will strip evasives.
Chat w/your pugmates to try and respawn all at once and pick a rendezvous point. Don't engage @ your spawn point. You can try and comeback to help those who got popped by using a confuse like SS or AMS, but again don't engage at spawn point move away from it.

Why would it be so hard to disable weapons within a 10 km radius of a spawn point in space PvP maps?
That alone would fix a lot of camping and give people a chance to get their bearings before they get shot at.
Ground maps would be admittedly harder to solve with a 'safe zone', but not if they were built that way from "the ground up" (if you'll pardon the pun).

I agree, having a 'safe' zone would make the most sense. As for Ker'rat. . .just get rid of the automatic warp-in action every time the map resets. N'Vak doesn't do it, why does Ker'rat?
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.

It would be nice if they would do that similar to how N'Vak handles reset.
As far as the safe zone goes, that is a good idea, however there should be a "timer" on it as well since players could/would just sit there for the duration of the game.
Outside that, in all seriousness, move toward the center of the map. I know friends and I go into a PVP map, we look at the zone roster, scoreboard to see if it's even (if it's not we try to give time for the others to come or have a X # sit out so it is even,) then move toward the center. We sit at the center for a short duration, if we don't see the other players we progress closer and closer to seek them out.
Also use tact team when under fire and don't use RSP when you make contact and your shields are full. Cycle your shields heals when taking fire and cross heal your teammates so your team doesn't get wiped pushing the other team ever closer to your spawn.
As I mostly C&H I see this a lot. I hate it and don't participate, because I don't find any fun in having three or more ships sitting at the spawn point killing the Feds as they spawn. That is no challenge. It is almost always the klinks that do it - heck, I've never seen the Feds do it, they can't really because of cloaking.
The sad thing is that there are just a few that do it regularly. I can tell as soon as the match starts whether or not there will be spawn camping just by looking at the KDF roster.
The solution is to not respawn. Go make a sandwich or something, and when the match is quickly over, re-queue and hope for better players.

Ker'rat Klingons revel in their cowardice. Take pride in it, even. If it's not spawn camping, it's waiting until you're at 10% hull strength to jump you 2-on-1.
There's no point in raging on them. That just gives them something to fill that empty space where a mother's love would have gone. Just kill or be killed, then go back to scanning nodes and shooting hulks.
getting spawn camped a problem for you? there are 2 reasons for this, none of which are really the campers fault
1. you sat at your spawn at the beginning of the map and didn't move to the center like you were supposed to. is every one moving away slowly and staggered? didn't quickly move, or at least move as a group? are you lagging behind hoping they will get attacked first? you are going to get your TRIBBLE shot off, especially if your more then 10 behind the guy in front of you. match devolves from there.
2. there is such a skill mismatch between the teams that you didn't stand a chance anyway, and spawn camping you will get this miserable match over with as quickly as possible.

Fixed that for you, as even the Fed playerS do what you blaim on just the KDF players in a open PvP zone.
Both sides Spawn Camp and both sides have those players that will gank you while you are trying to kill Borg and do the mission.
It can suck but Ker'rat is an open zone after all.
Doesn't get much of a reaction from me anymore. I'll defend myself and kill who I can, then respawn and get back to the guy who collects most of the scans and hulks while everyone else flings poo at each other, so he can get the best loot drop at the end.

As many others do not do it as well, but many others do "do it" and its not a KDF faction only phenom.
That was the only point I was trying to make.
Up until yesterday, I have spend 90% of the time PvPing and out of that 90% of the time in FvK queues. Recetly Klingon side developed a tactic that makes already "unfun" FvK matches to something really disgusting.
Dropping Tric mines in Fed spawn zone
Seriously? You respawn and insta die to mines? Why should anyone queue for that ?
Continue with that cheese and you wont wait 15 minutes for matches, but 1 hour or more. I encourage any fed player to ignore FvK queues and let the klingons enjoy their own KvK queues for a while.
Me personally. I won't queue for FvK from now on. May the FvK forever be empty, for what I care.

I'll remember that next time I get spawn mined and EWP'ed by the feds in Ker'rat at the respawn point.
The FvKing ques are to hard for everyone becuase the KDF gets blamed for TRIBBLE that both sides do in PvP???
As if Fed TRIBBLE only smells of roses and thier farts are pure perfume to the worlds nostrils.
Both sides have players whom act like turds and behave poorly.
Pff Roach, I admit I overacted a little. But I do not remember the time I saw feds spawncamping Klingons in queue matches. Dropping tric mines in the area is something new for me and It happend for me in majority of matches yesterday.
I can even live with swarms of siphons or other pets around the spawns, but this SUCKS. I die frequently in PvP, partially because of the quallity of my pug mate, partially because of my playstyle, and I do not care about it. But dying repeatadly on the spawn place is IMHO something that is beyond stupid and certainly won't drag more players into pvping.
Ker'rat is another story. I was talking about queues.

Ker'rat or the Ques, I rarely see anyone mine or spawn camp on purpose. Those few times I have seen it happening its as much a fed player as it is a KDF player or its a fed/KDF freaking out on the respawn in Ker'rat.
It is stupid and I agree it is annoying to die to such a cheap tactic on respawn in any PvP situation.
It will most certainly kill the desire to PvP but its not a KDF issue. Its a individual player issue.
I am not defending it, only that the A-holes in STO do not just come with ridges.
This game has many varieties it seems, as much as it has bugs and imbalance.
As far as the safe zone goes, that is a good idea, however there should be a "timer" on it as well since players could/would just sit there for the duration of the game.
Don't see how they could put a "safe zone" on any kind of a timer, seeing as how anybody who goes kaboom is going to reappear there at any given time and getting killed by somebody else's "splash" damage just as you're respawning would truly be frustrating.
If some "chicken" decides to sit on a Spawn point for the entire game, so what? He's not scoring any kills, either, and he's only hurting his own side.
If that's an issue, then making respawned players temporarily untargetable would be better... but that won't be any defense against AoE damage and the like. I like safe zones better... sure they aren't realistic, but it's better than being camped.
A safe zone would give respawning players a chance to go full impulse, hit their buffs, and at least try to escape the zone before anyone can gank them. It would prevent junk like laying Tric mines next to the spawn point. Then they'd have a fighting chance.
That's all anybody who PvP's in good faith is asking for: a fighting chance.
