So, it's the little things that bug me, but maybe because there are those of us on the forums who pointed it out and it finally got done on the Odyssey but not the Chimera.
The Chimera only has her registry number on the top and bottom of the saucer, and her name only on the top of the saucer.
Now, I get that it's a small ship, but why not at least throw on the Starfleet pennant on the hull, like the Odyssey, the Intrepid, and the Constitution. Q knows there's enough space there.
Bonus points if the ship name could show up somewhere else (I imagine the backside of the giant hull to be a cargo shuttlebay, so that would be a good place) or the registry number to show up as well.
Decals. They're cool.

I agree with this completely. I can't imagine any person who is a Trek fan to forget something as basic as the Starfleet pennant some where. Has there ever been a Federation starship in any show or movie of any series that did not have the Starfleet logo somewhere on the ship? Also, you can't put your fleet logo on the ship.
Unfortunately it is an oft overlooked decal. I can imagine it presents issues lining up correctly with ships that have interchangeable parts, but, considering the Chimera has none - it would be very welcome if it was added.
I respect that (even if I personally may still want the pennant on the hull).
It looks like the original design had the registry on the upper nacelles. I get that may not work with the transforming nacelles (which I totally dig).
Pretty please...

The original design has far more details, specially the bussard collectors and the connection between the upper and lower nacelles are looking dull on the ingame model. But thats the price you pay to make STO running on low end computers i guess?
I can't fault the design of the ship, its beautiful, both the original concept art and the built model - but this kind of touches on the wider issues of decals as options.
@JamjamzCan the decals be made separate to the skins (of all ships really). So that they can more closely function like the "patterns", particularly when it comes to interchangeable parts. It would be particularly good if the player character creator/tailor functionality for how tattoos and scars can be scaled and orientated around the head could be brought to the decals. This would enable players to position them where they think it best, potentially saving dev time, and also getting around issues caused by interchangeable parts and stripes not lining up etc.
+1x registry (nacelles)
+1x name (near shuttlebay)
+1x pinstripe on the deflector (kinda belongs there)
also add some more running lights, not enough blinking on that ship!
and if you guys ask me, the ship would look much better if it would fly in regenerative mode with the Nacelles together instead of apart (like in the artwork), but that would be an animation thing (probably not jamzjamz department?)
I'd also like to see the ship who have missing decals get them added as well. For example, the Prometheus nacelles are missing their class-unique decals on the top and bottom.
I also agree with having the ability to customize decals in the ship editor, but only in fixed positions and only the Starfleet pennants. In this case, you could swap pennants between the TMP, TNG, VOY/DS9, and perhaps a few other options.
On a side note, it would also be nice if the texture layers for windows and escape pods are separated so that both types could be selected independently.

I loved it but I'm more KDF player which was awesome they atleast let you make a KDF one. Here is hoping they let you do some more KDF ships
Commanding Officer: Captain Pyotr Ramonovich Amosov
Dedication Plaque: "Nil Intentatum Reliquit"
the kdf vet ship still doesn't have it nacelles extended in sector space though like it should. how am i the only one who has noticed this?

no your not the only one who noticed, i actually even wrote a Bug Report about that some 2 or 3 weeks ago...
Seconded as I can't think of any starfleet ship that didn't have the strips...it's just the little things...
