Ok, so I saw the other thread about this same graphics card...but it's no help because the user just rambled on to himself and made no sense.

Running this on my wife's computer.
Windows 7
Nvidia 6150 SE nForce 430
I tried running both in safe mode and not in safe mode, also tried "verify files". Here's what we see first:

Then it goes to the normal ST screen and it looks like this:

So basically, by the time you get to the menu, it's completely unreadable:

Let me know what else to provide and where to find it and hopefully we can get this worked out. I tried editing the resolution in the gameprefs.pref file and have tried multiple ones but nothing seems to work. Graphics card drivers are up to date too.
Help?

This will let us see if there are any driver/hardware issues with that machines config in running the game vs the minimum/recommended specs. My best guess atm thou is that your motherboard based GPU is under the minimum specs since its a 6 series rather than a 7 series as the minimum needed to play is:

If it's the on board motherboard version, the memory is limited to 256 MB.
If this is indeed what you have, it's far below the minimum specs needed to run STO.
