What are your opinions on BO II and III and THY II and III?

Ive heard a few people say BO III misses more.
If you were to pick a combination of the two, which would be III and which would be II?

Im thinking THY II and BO III because the overload can be boosted by a weapon battery.

I tend to believe that BO3 misses more, so I switched to BO2. I also carry HY3. When the BO2 hits solidly, and the HY3 quantum torp salvo hits the enemy, it is quite effective. I've taken out lazy/inattentive enemies using those in an alpha-strike timed with a decloak in my Hegh'ta.

I don't know if it still holds true or not, but I know that a while ago, HYT 2 was essentially a trap. HYT 1 and 3 offered significantly more damage and crit chance.

Maybe this week I'll get around to making a BO build w/the KDF Vet ship and see w/+70 acc from ship weapons deflector and trait boost if BO3 and BO2 have any significant difference in hit chance. I'm going to assume w/over 70 +acc BO3 should hit more, but you never know.

That's why you spec into projectile weapon specialization, to improve your chances of critical hits and the damage of said criticals. It won't crit every time, but when it does. . .I've seen a HY3 salvo knock half the hull off of a cruiser (after the Beam Overload 2 annihilated the shield facing and took 10-15% of the hull), even the ones piloted by good players. If they're not paying very close attention, it does even better as they don't get their buffs up in time.

Once in a blue moon, BO III + my Antiproton Dual Beam Bank gives me a massive critical hit that one-shots a fool, and those days are good days. It's also good for swooping in and stealing big kills from people.

Honestly, though, that Dual Beam Bank is most useful using Fire at Will against a cluster of small ships and/or projectiles.

    *shrug*
