It was a nice change from "TRIBBLE was issued an OP starship!" :p

"Last Engage! Magical Girl Origami-san" is in print! Now with three times more rainbows.

Thanks for Harajuku. Now let's get a real "Magical Girl" costume!

The only trouble with that is, it turns off all gameplay announcements, not just the lockbox notifications.

    Oh, and signed.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

You can leave the one that pops up in the chat box and just delete the one from the middle of the screen....I think anyway.

Alternately, you can rearragne the hud to put the announcement thing at the top edge of the screen.

Mudd was a minor annoyance until doffing. Now when he annoys you he also forces you to stop talking to a department head.

    Mudd must die!!!!!

Another great reason to add to the 'why you should make a KDF character' list, if you haven't had the pleasure of doing so already. :D

    #12: No annoying sector vendors.

No, he'll just annoy you when you enter Fed space.

Perhaps we can make him more relevant to the experience...

Maybe he could sell a single Lobi store item for a small window of time every month for EC. Make it to where he has only so many of the item so that there isn't a flood of it in the playerbase. Or perhaps a cooldown, the particular item can only be purchased once a week due to the scarcity of it.

Or what about selling random Mk XI or XII purple consoles/weapons/equipment, or strange/powered alien artifacts using the same scarcity mechanic as mentioned in the above paragraph?

That would be nice. It would justify his continued non-death. As is, he's pretty much the worst vendor in the game.

Let's not forget it will close your exchange window. So you call the S.S. Azura II, go shopping on the exchange, and Mudd pops up rightg after the Azura warps away. And maybe I will make a Mudd Hunt mission, which will include revenge on all those characters you'd love to see on the receiving end of a phaser. Franklin Drake's high on my list of people to put in there...
I ask nothing but that you remember me.
