I just got an orb weaver for my science captain. Now i've flown escorts as an engineer since day 1 so im pretty savvy when it comes to that. However I find myself without the first clue when it comes to fitting this ship.
So I'm looking for advice. Has anyone flown an Orb Weaver using a science captain and found a build that does well in STFs? I'm open to using pretty much any weapons / BO abilities.
Well, having it for just PvE makes things simple. I haven't flown the Weaver, and I don't have a lot of sci-ship experience, but let me take a whack at this. . .
Make the LTC universal slot a tac officer. Have two Tactical Team 1's, Torpedo Spread 2, and Attack Pattern Beta 2.
For Eng: Either Emergency Power to Aux 1/Emergency Power to Shields 1, and either Emergency Power to Shields 2/Auxiliary to SIF. EPtA and A2SIF combined would make for a decent reliable hull healer AND boost your sci abilities, while EPtS2 would make for a good shield healer. Depends on what you like more in PvE, shield or hull healing. Emergency power to Aux is important for sci ships, though, to really give their sci powers a boost.
For Sci: Definitely want to go crowd control and healing for PvE/STFs, so use stuff like Gravity Well 2-3, Hazard Emitters 2, Transfer Shield Strength 2, Tractor Beam, and have Polarize Hull for emergency hold-breaking. I'll leave the particulars up to you, as I don't have a lot of experience with sci builds :S

Its true anyway. Still I was expecting to find at least one science player using this ship.
