STO Roleplayers Guild

Have you ever wanted to act out a character you have? Wonedered what it would be like to be in an actors shoes in the Star Trek world? We are here to give you that option. The STORP Guild is a fleet dedicated to the art of Roleplay or Method Acting. We accept a wide array of storylines and even have running storylines for your new characters to get in on.

Never tried RP? Believe it or not, it's more immersive as you think. And no it does NOT automatically make you a geek. We have everything from current military, ex military, bikers, truck drivers, etc. The art of RP is nothing more than acting out a character. Similar to reading a book and putting yourself as a lead character. Just here you can do it among others that share your ideas and creations.

New to RP? Not a problem. Many of our members have been doing this since the old tabletop days and are well adept at helping new members create characters and storylines/backgrounds that will fit what they are looking for. Just takes you making the first step. Again, this does NOT make you a geek.

What we are NOT: The STORP guild does NOT endorse, condone, or partake in ERP of any kind. We are here for storyline creation and RP. If you are looking for ERP, look somewhere else.

Where can we be found? Normally on Deep Space 9, K-7, ESD on occasion, or other areas. Once and ahwile we will be on Drozana if a storyline requires it.

We also do offer fleetwide STF's, PVP, and other leveling and mission assistance. We do have a mandatory teamspeak policy due to current security issues. You don't have to have a mic, but we need to see you so we know you are at least human.

For more information, contact @1stCavArmyVet in game via PM or Game Mail.

Let your mind grow.........

    Dear Sir,

I was wondering when you'd make an appearance in this part of the forums. One of the best ways to get new members (besides running partial PUG STF all day) is to have a strong, regularly updated fleet thread.

We have actually exchanged PMs regarding STORP some time ago in January or so but I didn't manage to get into STORP itself back then.

Later on I have had bad experiences with ERPers bearing the STORP fleet name intruding into my public DS9 RP sessions with the girls but noticed the offenders left your fleet some time later after the 'incident'. It's good to know there are still some upholding the classic principles of roleplaying as a collaborative and educational activity. And do the necessary enforcement when malicious parties cross the line.

Back around May I managed to register at your website and was invited to the STORP in-game chat channel, which I know is OOC but I decided to leave and do my own thing because of some -very- hostile and very immature persons trolling said channel. Which is a big contrast between the simply awesome forum based RPs you have. Are the STORP channel members even roleplayers? Or do they gain access just to talk people down or demand everyone follow their "accepted standard" of roleplaying. I never saw any 'standards' or OOC organization/invitations, just people ruining the fun for others in that channel.

I then formed my own fleet, did the usual founding work and moved on to become an independent PvPer of sorts. I never received fleet invites nor was I ever contacted by fleet officers over a period of 3 weeks, despite numerous enquiries in the channel, hence my decision to get a move on.

But those aforesaid bad experiences aside, one of the reasons why I place RP activities as the top rated STO experience is the great potential of such (that no amount of misintepretation can affect), and your forum/PM responses you wrote to me all the way back in January.

Should I become an active STO player again I might just give you a ring. :)

ps. I know that the above posts bears some accusatory/possible inflammatory commentary but these were my actual experiences with the old STORP. I would be glad if your new security protocols and player management strategies have already taken them into account. Do feel free to contact me in whatever fashion should you have any doubts or wish to talk things out :)

I still see many of STORP members engaging in ERP on Drozana. I can only imagine what they do in private instances and it makes me throw up a little
