    Sorry, But this is lame and not worthy 200 K. If you create A security office + patrols , then ok. This : thumbs down .

    No. Just no. No way we're giving away 200,000 dilithium for a couple of generic NPCs - neither on FED side nor KDF.

    I'm guessing it's really hard if you have a small fleet.
    So 200k is a huge amount for a fleet with several members only.

    Only, and I mean only if all the KDF guards added are Orions dressed like that.

    Otherwise, hell no. I'm not spending my dilithium on this whether my fleet queues it or not.

    Well at least with the Starfleet npcs, then not every npc will be in the same uniform. With KDF npcs, that is not a problem with all the Orion females and Gorns.

    Sorry. This one is just a bit too lame.

    Why does a base that can't be attacked or visited by anyone other than someone you invite need security NPCs?

    My guess for the next 200K dilithium special project: Conference table and chairs for the conference area. Not that they will be really all that useful or worth 200k, but at least they will make that space look like it has a purpose.

    You missed out on an opportunity here Cryptic... you should have made them Holo-MACOs from 4028

    With maybe the exception of the tribble vendor, those projects should have been in there from the first place, rather than just give us an empty hallway.

    Also I feel bad for the people who are starting a fleet a few weeks from now. As it currently seems, their base will be a gym forever...

    Can the Devs (or anyone else) comment on if New Fleets (ones created after the first introduction of starbases) will at some point in time be able to take advantage of the "Special" timed projects? Kind of like the episode replay? Maybe when Season 7 hits, or when the time frame for T5 is hit - to replay the specials. I understand there is a benefit to having the fleet prior to be introduction of starbases, but at some point I would hope to be able to have all fleets be able to complete these special timed projects, a chance in the future?

    sheesh all this focus on new shiny things and no STORY. all the devs focusing on is fluff and No content. waste of LTS no wonder i left for GW2. this game needs more story content and not more mini games or projects

    Yet another reason I have stopped playing STO.

    -Stupid bull**** that is added to waste time and resources.
    -No new KDF material
    -Science class nerfed to hell
    -Star Trek feel is almost non existent, can't even get an LCARS and Klingon specific UI added in.

    Pay attention devs, these are major reasons as to why people stop playing this game.

    please, there are different people who do the environments and those who do the story. there's no wasting done at all, only priorites that you might not agree with. when will you get that?

    and these are meant for extra large fleets for a reason. meant to show up you can afford this stuff, like you're rich and are showing off.

    so seriously, stop the complaints. they make sense, whether you like it or not

    Seriously, for that much dilithium I'd want a rifle that shoots people around corners, from 2 time zones away, that cleans my house, and does my taxes.

    yeah, IIRC Dan said in the last ask cryptic (or something like that) that the Featured Projects will all come around on a rotation, when probably depends on how many they have planned.

    AI is extra, but it BETTER be a klingon rifle. I know our fleet will spring for this but if the guard is carrying a FED weapon then....

    I just cant say what will happen without getting a banhammer slap.

    So, security guards go for 200,000 Dilithium a piece now?

    The Blog implies we get more than one, but from the screenshots I can't see it. Maybe the Devs would like to show us all of what we get, not just a sample... Or is that all we get?

    Not worth it IMO....

    Now if we had the MACO holograms maybe...

    If it gave us the ability to customize the NPC's on our base.. then hell yes worth it...

    See, who says the forums are dying down.

    whatever keeps dilithium down on the exchange, and i can get lots of ZEN without spending real money is okay with me.

    I'm part of a big fleet, so wont matter to me just more of a way for people to get fleet marks, being it gets hard at times with things filling up fast.

    I have a lot of questions, and the text about the limited time project is really vague.

    It's hard to have enough information to form a solid opinion about the projects. Every new special projetc have the same problem. The lack of informations is really terrible, is hard to trust or determine if the special project is valid or not to invest.

    Now, about the ?High Security" project, have a lot of question about this project.
    Our next special feature is, ?High Security?. As Federation and Klingon fleet starbases have been expanding in size and capability, new security measures have become necessary. To ensure the safety of residents and visitors on these bases from enemies who threaten either up-front hostile takeovers or more subversive tactics like sabotage, additional ground security teams have been requested

    Yeah, but the KDF take only an orion guard or the project give a random npc guard? We can personalize the apparence or the position of this npc? How much we can take in each deck?

    Upon completion of this special project, your starbase?s interior will see increased population. Klingons will staff up with elite warriors, while members of Starfleet will enlist starbase guards

    Please, more information about this. "Elite Warriors", with a "S" means more of one? Or just a generic name for a guard npc?

    Again, I have to complain because the lack of decent screenshots showing more aspects of this project. The lack of the information about this and any the past limited time project are terrible.

    Is not clear if the elite warrior or starbase guards have any special function in game aside the aesthetic use in the base.

    The problem is not only about the price of 200k dilithium. Is about to show a decent, informative and a clear text and better screenshots to give to every player and the fleet admin to right to decide correctly about the project.

    What karmapoint said... The screenshots show 1 in each starbase and, interestingly enough, you can see a good deal of the Ops floor of both in the screenshots, but no additional security guards.

    Do any of these act like the Security contact on DS9 or ESD? If not, WHY?

    We have been suckered by Cryptic/PWE too many times to actually trust that you are telling the truth, we want to actually SEE what we are going to get and have a decent description that we can hold you to, not a bunch of generic fluff.

    As far as I am concerned, Cryptic/PWE may as well call themselves Gar

    No you get more then 1. You get 2. That is 100,000 each. You don't see the other one because he is holding the camera.

    If they served some non-cosmetic function, maybe. If we were a large, militant fleet looking for ways to generate fleet credits, probably.

    But Federation Reborn will most likely pass on this one, too. We got the "moon roof", the potted plants, and the Enterprise display. I think we've got enough interior decor for awhile.

    I really like the idea of this special project, but it's the implementation of it, that I think has let many of the previous posters down. If it's one thing that Star Trek Online unfortunately lacks, it's customization of your own spaces within the universe.

    Originally, I was excited for the Starbases, because I hoped, unlike our Starship interiors, that there'd be some level of customization that would allow our bases to stand out from everyone else's. Unfortunately, the customization that so many people seek, comes in the form of an either you get this asset or you don't, sort of method.

    As it stands, there's nothing that makes our base different than any other one in the universe, and there's no motivation for me to visit anyone else's.

    What would have really gotten people excited about this project, is the ability to choose what uniforms your security guards wear. Even if the system somehow accessed the fleet uniform settings, and applied those to the guards, I think that people would've been much more willing to sink 200,000 dilithium or potentially, much more, into this.

    The bar project, had it come with a working tri dimensional chess mini-game, would've been worth so much more as well. Judging from the responses, people seem a little let down, by the lack of gameplay that these upgrades offer for the price, and that they're not customizable.

    I think that people would be far more receptive to special projects for an even higher price, if some of the above elements were introduced, even if that meant that special projects came around far less often than they do now.

    People are willing to dump boatloads of money into something that sets them apart from others and allows their creativity to flourish. I know I would love to be able to dress our guards up to represent our fleet, rather than a bunch of generic NPCs that can be seen congesting the hallways of any other Starbase in game.

    My opinion :)

    A lot of people only take this project to have an elite orion warrior in your kdf starbase.

    A tuffli is a better option in comparative the current starbase projects. Nothing really useful or really awesome to spend 200k dilithium.

    And can accept friends of other faction too <_<
