In the Star Trek TNG, have a episode named "A Matter of Honor".
Here have a FED sport about two people in a circle, in a black and dark room. The sport is about using personal phasers, with a 360 degrees range.
The objetive of the game is to make a high score, hiting the target. Each target have your own color and speed. Green targets are slow, yellows have middle speed and the red one move quickly.
Or we could introduce the game of Velocity, the game that's featured in a few Voyager episodes (special phasers are used to shoot at a fast, floating target). Not sure how well that would do in STO's ground mechanics. . .
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.
If you have this feature in your fleet starbase, can be a good reason to visit your own base to spend some time with your fleet members.
Games with settings with time, speed, score and other things can be good to play. If the minigame with another player can be decent, we can do any tournament or other uses.
Only problem we have right now is that this is not Counterstrike and accuracy is basically determined by the game.
Not sure how tehy'd solve that.
Indeed, totally agree, they really need to turn the ground part of the game into a more shooter style 1st or 3rd person. The current mechanics of the ground part of the game are really bad to be honest. It needs a lot of work.
