Officer of the Watch Misplaced PADD

velktravelktra Member Posts: 0 Arc User
I pulled this Officer of the Watch daily today and decided to click "what should I do" even though I've done it before. Just wanted to see what it says. I did not expect to see this.

ID-ten-tango

As a military vet, I had to laugh at that one. Thanks, devs. :D

(If you don't get it, write it down on paper, but use the digits for ten and tango is the letter "T".)

"IDT"? What does that mean? Or did I mess it up?

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

LOL good one, I will print that out and hang it at my work place. You have no idea how many of that kind of user errors I hear everyday.

Write down the letters ID the "number" ten and T from Tango. It is a common word we use in the Tech industry and apparently the military also. Since I have written that down on work orders without being in the military.

    Teehee. :D

I've never worked tech support, so I didn't know it was a common joke there too. We used it in the military to tell people they were stupid (and most didn't get it).
