I'm sure this has come up before, but I would love to see some.
Just a simple copy/paste of the arena system added to the pvp queue. Shuttle pvp could be a lot of fun for very little dev time.
Could even combine klingon/fed queues for this and call it some marqui style seperatist fight you take part in. So we spend less time waiting for queues to fill between fights.
Later they could even add a 3rd version that allows for larger teams (20 vs 20?) because theres no pets and less ability spam generated by shuttles.
Not sure about you guys, but I think this would end up being the most fun style of pvp in the game.
No huge tanks, no spam, fast manuverable ships and lots and lots of explosions. Hell yeah!

Meh, shuttle PvP is a bit boring tbh. Mav used to do shuttle PvP events on occasion, and it's a bit of a novel break to the norm, but I can't see it holding any interest if it's an every day thing.

But did he do 20 vs 20 events?
An extention of the 20 vs 20 shuttle arenas could also be something like a defend the starships pvp where 1->3 player (or even npc I guess) starships on each side and the rest fighters - only starship losses count to totals.
Shuttles are underutilized in the game, especially in pvp.

without the tech to make fast switches from main craft to shuttle, it ll only thin out the queues even more. On top of that every secon group will have a normal vessel in it.
Until we have better tech for using shuttles, i guess mini private matches, or maybe on organized by branflakes is the way to go.

We even had a chat channel to set up shuttle fights. We had 10 v 10's, & they were pretty fun, although it seemed always that a couple people broke the rules, or forgot to switch into their shuttles before joining the fight. Shuttle wars was fun. Although I think it was more fun when we all hopped into T1 or T2 ships & fought after the first couple of shuttle fights.
