Question About Skill Points

Hey everyone, I've been playing STO for a few weeks, and since I started, if I click my character window and hit 'info' option, it shows me in the portrait a number next to "Unspent Skill Points" in orange, which seems to equal my TOTAL skill points I have accumulated. It's currently 64,792 or something. I have spent all but close to 1000 of my current skill points in skills. Is this a bug or did Cryptic never address it? Or do I have points I don't know about? Thanks.

    There should be an 'Apply' button somewhere. I know it sounds simple but I just want to make sure that's not that issue.

    No, I have actually allocated all my points for the most part. According to the character portrait, I haven't allocated any, though. I was just wondering if anyone else saw this in their portrait.

    If you mean the popup info you can see on anybody then I have the same problem. If I look at mine I have something like -300,000 points that I need to spend. Question, anybody know how to spend a negative point?

    It does not affect anything, those points are spent.

    Okay, I was hoping it didn't actually interfere with gameplay. This is what I'm talking about:

    Pretty sure this is just a tooltip bug. My character has always reflected it that way and he is level 50 now.

    Hello new to STO, I was wondering about the EXP points you get. I have 5000 earned (according to my status page for my charater) but don't know where you go to spend/use them, (I have already allocated all my skill points for the first tier until I get promoted to LT Comander). Any help would be appreciated thx
