In theory, it is there - but nobody seems to queue for it.
I know, I know. Cloaks on both sides etc. That might be an issue with Arena (although there are ways to work against cloak)... but a Capture and Hold should work KvK just fine, no?
I see KDF players in the KvK ques all the time.
The FvK ques just pop faster (it seems) and are prefered over the KvK becuase we tend to know the KDF opponents we are fighting in KvK and find it unsatisfying to kill a brother warrior without good reason.
Unlike the feds, we KDF players just seem less inclined to fight among ourselves for no reason.
Which is not really canon... I mean, there never was a Fed civil war, while they are actually sort of a tradition in the Klingon Empire.
I find it interesting that you see them queuing all the time. Queue observations seem to vary greatly between individuals. I wonder if the "matching system" (if there is any) is responsible for this?
Anyway, I guess I'll queue a bit for KvK and see if I can get a match. ^^
I think time of play is more a factor. When I normally play I hardly ever see any Feds PuGing versus the KDF, then on some days its about even numbers of both.
On weekends it different as I have a different time I try to play.

To put it bluntly, Cryptic has not really given us any reason or incentive to participate in House vs. House inter-rivalries and power plays. Just one KDF mission arc, maybe some PvP mission wrappers, and a handful of DO assignments that hint at it.
If there were actual gameplay mechanics and story hooks involved that made sense, I think players would enjoy a little KvK. As it is, though, I imagine it's a lot more satisfying to whack Feds...

There's also the fact that the Fed ships are still designed 'differently', and sometimes have a different methodology of play. This makes for somewhat more interesting PVP play. Then there's the added bonus of KDF players enjoying the chance to beat the snot out of arrogant Federation players
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.
I que up for KVK arena, KVF arena, & KVF C&H every single time I que. KVF arena pops more than any other. I usually play 8am-4pm EST. Most of the time KVK is awesome, but the battles are much longer, and thus much more entertaining. However, games with 10 cloaking ships suck.
