Hi all, I don't normally post on the fourm but I'm running into a technical problem that I can't seem to resolve. Perhaps I will find the solution here. I've been doing a little research and it looks like I haven't been the only one with this issue. I've tried almost everything people have suggested but I can't seem to get it to work.
This problem arose after patching and closing the launcher after a few gaming hours about a week ago. I've been having internet problems this past week, mainly on Verizon's side of things, but it's back up and running. I would attempt to open the launcher, and after around a minute it would give me an error message reading: "Unable to establish connection to Patch Server. Please check your Internet connection." Uninstalling the game and re-patching would do the trick, but I consider that to be a last resort for obvious reasons. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

It started when I tried to connect to an STF, and got "server not responding". After 180 seconds, I task managered out, and then i got "trying to update the launcher."
I tried to go to startrekonline.com, no dice. However, my wife's copy was still working on her machine, and she was in the STF still waiting on me. Since it wasn't going well (khitomer normal, 3/5 there, 69% on donatra after like 10 minutes), we agreed to restart my router.
She then also got the same problem.
I jacked my box into my modem directly, bypassing the router, AND THE GAME WORKED. I was able to login, connect, I even used my sci ship to finish the STF that I had tried logging into 45 minutes prior. Startrekonline.com also worked, and redirected me to sto.perfectworld.com.
Back to the router, again, no one can connect to the launcher or startrekonline.com, BUT i still had sto.perfectworld.com in a window, and it works fine through the browser! (Hence, how I'm here, posing this reply.)
The question now is:
Why the heck is my router not talking to the (tracert'd) 208... IP????
