I was talking with my fleet and we all agree that there needs to be an "inspect" screen so players can view other players' gear and stats. Any thoughts?
Well good riddance, the LOOK AT MY GEAR K folks can keep out if they believe anyone with lower ranked gear is worthless. It would be infinitely more useful to true team players to get an idea of the setups of their teammates, so they can co-ordinate better.
Additionally, an inspect screen would mean there's no excuse for making ship set effects a costume option; you can't fake out your opponent into believing you're running a Jemmy set when they can just see you're using Omega, for instance.
It'd just be used by some players to refuse to join team missions with people who don't have VR Mk XII everything.
That's the idea, yes - altho not quite that elitist as the MK XII but close enough.
I'm sick of trying Elite STF missions with people (mostly feds) - who have about 1200 accolade points, green quality (?) gear and no clue why they get one shotted by a Worker Drone in Elite Cure Ground...
If no Inspect option is made available, at least do what the devs for the game RIFT did - where the Que system for PuGing simply do not allow you to que up for stuff that your toon is not geared for. Normal STF's is one thing, I'd expect to have lower quality gear there since it's the introduction and where you get started to aquire the MK X sets - But in Elite STF's it really should be strictly forbidden to enter without at least that said Mk X set of Omega, MACO or KHG. There is a reason the Elite STF's are tougher, don't try it without the proper outfitting. Sadly, a lot of beginners think they can handle it and then you instantly have an hour cooldown because of automatic failure on first section.
Same goes for Space... Elite STF with anything lower then T5 starships and XI class rare / Ultra rare should also be controlled. It's a violation against entertainment of any game to fail only because people don't realize what it takes to even have a chance at winning.
The one and only purpose of any computer game is to entertain. It's NOT entertaining to auto-fail a mission because of undergeared participants trying to play heros with stuff far beyond their capacity. If it wasn't for the cooldowns maybe it wouldn't be so irritating, but as it is now... Yah I think an inspect option and at least a chance at denying a failure with cooldowns would be nice.
