When are new characters going to start at low levels again? It was a major mistake to make players start at Commander level 1. With new material comming out for KDF players, the Exploration missions and such, there is about as much PvE to do as the Federation had a game launch. There is no reason why we cannot run a KDF character from Lvl 1 to Lt. General just like on the Federation side!

Ya, have fun grinding over 20 levels via Explorations ...

ATM it is better the solution.
If any new content KDF-exclusiv shows up, they might lower the entry point one day.

I personaly enjoy not having to suffer through the first 20 level of craptacular ships and lackluster abilities. I just wish there were more options to play through that the same. old. thing.... for each character in the exact. same. sequence. :/
    Lynis, Orion Engineer, main
    Rrezeth, Gorn Tactical, primary alt
    Nari, Orion Science, secondary alt

I personaly would like more low level storyline content to give us more to do in STO as the current content is little different than we had before, only condensed into a quicker grind.
The KDF needs more storyline and given the lackluster amount of content it does have has turned people away from playing the faction, more can only improve its drawing power.

I kind of like starting at level 20, I'd like it better if new people could start KDF without having to hit 20 on a Fed first.

If new content were to be made, I would want it story heavy, not grind-heavy.
Cloaking generators break down at first sign of language.

I said it in another thread, but I'll throw it out here as well since its relevant.

One of the things I would like to see as far as early missions is the Player establishing a minor house in the Klingon Empire (Or being adopted in to one if a non-Klingon), an Introduction to Klingon Politics (Relations between the KDF and Gorn Hegemony and others), A story-based Primer on the Klingon sense of Honor and how it pertains to the current galactic climate, and more on the Undine infiltrations and how the KDF is dealing with it.

All of these possibilities for mission arcs could well be level agnostic.
A half faction is no faction at all.

It was bad enough when STO came out that you had to have a Lv5 Fed toon to unlock KDF play. Then that character started out as a Warrior (Lt). And you worked your way up. Back then, there was alot of low tier PVP also.

Now Cryptic is trying to hide their KDF mistake even more ever since they raised the minimum rank to start a KDF toon (Cmdr now).

So, you have the first two tiers of KDF ships in the Shipyard screen are totally and completely unused.

Seems to me given the nature of the Vo'Quv that there's potential of starting as a Bird-of-Prey assigned to a Vo'Quv. Doing little space and ground sorties, with a giant heaping of AI 'Help' in the form of the carrier and the other ships it can launch and support forces in ground actions before returning in glory to Quo'Nos. Or maybe the carrier gets ravaged and all ships have to return home.

I'm thinking of the story missions more than true progression.

Considering our first ship is a BoP, this makes a lot of sense. Have the voQ get ravaged by an Undine vessel, or better yet an Undine subverted fed vessel, and you place the new player well into one of the reasons why the KDF is at odds with the feds.

Starting at level 1 with story content (obviously) filling the gap to level 20 is *the* biggest addition *needed* for KDF to be a full faction. Currently the way things are in STO its a bit of a joke amongst MMO's and should be seen as an embarrassment. imagine GW2 releasing with only one complete faction?

Do I think it will happen someday? PWE and others have stated they wanted it, just no timeline as its hard to put into a schedule when other items may have higher priority, so patience is needed. At least Cryptic are hiring, and they have more onboard now than since who knows when...

I say *no* to mini-factions, *no* to PVP only and *no* to monster play :).
