KDF Content/Bundles?

Today I learnt a valuable lesson, the majority of Federation players aren't interested in cross faction bundles or even KDF content period. They are selfish, spoilt and resort to name calling and the like when someone even suggests KDF content in a bundle even after they ask for feedback.

Thankfully I haven't met a KDF player like this, it brings hope to this community and for that reason I would ask, if there are to be future bundles what would you like to see.

For example what would you like to see in a TNG or VOY bundle? Should they do a criss faction bundles where both factions get some unique content so it's more value for money for both the player and Cryptic/PWE?

I look forward to the feedback. :D

    Hello,

well right now I don't have a lot of time to provide much feedback but I'd like to throw in some IMO obvious choices for a TNG value pack:

The "Lego-Rifle" we know from TNG

    http://spaceart.de/produkte/star_trek_type_iii_phaser_rifle_tng_st037-a.jpg

    http://images.wikia.com/memoryalpha/en/images/5/56/Phaser_rifle.jpg

As well as the proper "Beak-Nose" Disruptor for the Klingons (the ones we have now are close but not quite right).

The Tribbles in Ectasy podact once put forth a great primarily KDF bundle pack with fed Klingon items as well to Dstahl, though nothing ever came from it.

As well the Gates of Stovokor team once suggested a KDF melee based bundle since the Klingons greatly enjoy melee combat. Nothing came of it iether.

How do you bundle items that don't exist ?

There isn't a T5 KDF ship of any kind,
    There isn't a T4 D7 (or variant)
The battle cloak is unavailable to D7 class ships
The KDF fighter/shuttle isn't on the same level as the fed shuttles,
The Spiral wave disruptors are out of my price range
The hybrid plasma/disruptor weapon is very weak

...The Klingon Academy uniforms are nice tho.

Bundles without artwork would be the only way this Development Team will ever throw us a bone, I'm assuming. They have made it quite clear that there is a perception at Cryptic that KDF isn't worth the time, and will never have the demand. I am suspicious of it, of course, since a) this is an MMO, not a Con and redside always gets enough attention for development elsewhere, b) PWE had put pressure on them in the past to flesh out KDF (so perhaps this "16%" thing is their defense against PWE meddling), and c) they are simply always driving people away from redside with the lack of attention, and do not account for any possible impact on the numbers from their blatant unwillingness to develop a second faction. Oh, and d) They had the same attitude with City of Villains and yet NCsoft makes it work after taking it over, and even created a way to transfer characters between factions. Cryptic has a terrible track record with this stuff.

So, ship weapons, upgraded ships that have the same model/skin, and costumes you see on NPCs but not on Players are the most likely. There are a slew of costumes we don't have access to, but several of them are from the "old" pre-beta character creation tools they used in-house and probably wont hook up to our existing models. (like the sleeveless greatcoat). Some of them are new however, like the use of Fed offduty robes on the First City and Academy guards.

A full TOS set would be nice, where you roll a Klingon, and select a TOS dropdown (where it would say Uniform, Off Duty (Feds), or Honor Guard). Then replace the Klingon skin and head/hair with a TOS styled one (instead of making people use an Alien), throw in some TOS uni options from Fed side that apply to TOS KDF and the TOS disruptor rifle and pistol already in the game (but different/better).

I'd certainly be happy with a totally KDF bundle (besides the Bortas pack of course), I don't really care what it is.

When I saw the DS9 bundle released a few months ago felt like a step in the right direction.

Because for your Klingons, at least you could unlock the Bajoran weaponry and the DOFFs for all of them.

It wasn't a lot, but it was something, and I gladly bought it up right on the day it came out. I even used those Bajoran phasers to help level 3 characters, one Fed, two KDF.

I'm for a Klingon bundle of some kind.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Stahl hates Klingons. He's on record as stating he will only play his Klingon for testing features? What testing? What features? The KDF specific "bugs" that get released every patch are testament to their level of testing and to their intent. Cryptic support for KDF amounts to: Maybe if we ignore them, they'll stop bugging us.

So we roll legs up and play dead?! I think not.

As someone wo has only been playing a few months, but enjoys playing both sides I would love to see more Klingon Content, although I must admit I have yet to make an actual Klingon, running an Andorian looking Alien and a Gorn on the Klingon Side.

I am saving up to buy the Academy uniforms just to get the eyepatch for my Andorian looking one. For that matter mine are wearing TOS uniforms too.

At the very least I would like to see some more melee weapons, like the other Klingon swords and daggers we see in TNG and DS9. I've seen NPC Klingons using those daggers in fleet actions, so hopefully that is a good sign.

Frankly I am still in love with KDF cruisers with dual cannons, running a MU ship at the moment.

I would definately like too see more MU stuff but that goes for both factions.

As for anything Voyager related for Klingons, I just don't see it. Klingon related stuff from the Movies, TNG, or DS9, yeah I am certainly up for that.

Wouldn't mind being able to make TOS looking Klingons which stat and ability wise are identical to Klingons and are identified as Klingons when you hover over them with the mouse.

Maybe a Klingon Culture pack that includes Klingon melee weapons that fed Klingons can claim too, as well as a 'New Race' that is exactly the same in stats as normal Klingons but have that TOS appearance.

You know, at this point I'm tempted to do the artwork myself. I'm a hobbiest 3D modeler and have a copy of both Blender and 3DSMax that I use regularly for low and mid-poly artwork.

Maybe if some of us did the damn work for them they would adopt it in exchange for Zen or something of that nature.

Honestly? Give me alien bridge/interior options or the aliens ships and a way to get rid of, or at least tone down, all the damned red. Red.... Red EVERYWHERE. It's almost impossible to even pick ship colour patterns without angling the ship this way and that just so you can see the changes -_-

A ship ideal for a content bundle would of course be the K'vort-type along with the bridge design used on the Hegh'ta (not to be confused with the BoP in this game).
It's the K'vort commanded by Kurn during the Klingon civil war.

    My point still stands.

I support an independent TOS Klingon content pack.

    I will not support a cross-faction bundle.

And I am not your mate.

I don't see the need to pigeonhole KDF stuff into a fed bundle. I would much rather see a KDF set that has a few pieces one can claim on thier FED account as well.

I agree. They need to make some KDF bundles with some minor fed items instead of more fed bundles with minor KDF items or no KDF items at all.

This may sound dumb, but how about a "bundle-bundle"?
Example: "Fed TNG Pack, includes the Constellation, the TNG Phaser and Data's Poker hat" 2,500 Zen
"KDF TNG Pack, includes K'Vort battlecruiser, kut'luch dagger and Worf's vest from "Sins of the Father" http://images.wikia.com/memoryalpha/en/images/f/fd/Worf_faces_the_high_council.jpg
    "
    2,500 Zen

"TNG Superbundle": 4,000 Zen for both together.

I would love that Klingon one, I don't care for the vest yet, but for dagger's and the K'vort I would snag it. I would just love a larger nicer traditional looking BoP, with a higher hull than the b'rel retrofit.

I'll probably get the b'rel too eventually, but righ now my BoP science Gorn is only level 30, while my lvl 50 Engineer is loving cruisers with DHC.

But yes I would love a k'vort and a Fleet version that would only cost a module and 20k fleet credits after that.
