Issues with keybinding in general...

Anyone else have issues where you set a key in the "in-game" option menu and it just doesn't work?

In particular the "Fire all X" controls seem to be bugged. I'm running a gunboat that zips in and drops mines, so I want to make sure that my 2 mine launchers in the back do not just auto-fire idiotically. I want to control them myself. To do this there is a "fire mines" key in the UI under bindings. So I set that to space... and... failure. Space refuses to do anything at all.

To add to the complexity of this wierd issue, I have the G key bound to fire JUST the torpedos, and when I hit G it fires torps AND mines.

Anyone have a general solution to this mind boggling oddity? I've looked online for some keybinding guides to write my own little "keybinds.txt" file but no matter how I approach it the keys refuse to perform the actions I desire.

(For clarification: I have tried other keys than the space bar, and my space bar does in fact still jump when it is bound to jump in ground controls. I.E. the space key does in fact work. I did try unbinding the jump function as well.)

As another side note, are Klingon vessels incapable of regenerating shields without using abilities? My BoP does not regen shields no matter how long I sit. I am not cloaked, I even dump a ton of power into shield systems... nothing. Unless I specifically use a power to regain shields, and manually adjust the facings I never regain a drop. Is this working as intended?

I am having the same trouble as the OP regarding mines. A long time ago I don't think there was an option for a mine hotkey, so they would drop anytime I used my torpedo hotkey (R). Then, it worked properly which was great as I could fire torpedoes using my hotkey and drop mines by clicking on a button in my space tray (I have the weapons tray hidden in space). Unfortunately, now mines are back to dropping whenever I hit the key to fire torpedoes, which makes them almost useless for me and I don't want to redo my hotkey system to work around this.

I have tried every type of binding combination, and no matter what, if I want to fire torpedos with a binding it ALWAYS fires my mines as well, it is infurating.

I pretty much don't use mines, cause I can't stand that every time I fire my photons, they drop a load of mines.

From your command line [chat window]

    /bind <key> [command]

Note: if loading from file, you will need to put [command] in single quotes without braces in all cases.

    FirePhasers
    FireTorps
FirePhasersTorps (broken as of Season 6, still not fixed)
    Fireprojectiles
    FireMines
    FireAll

Also a G$$gle search with this: 'site:sto-forum.perfectworld.com keybinds' brings up a whole host of more info.

Sorry if this is old news to you, can't tell from OP.
