I have an issue that maybe could be resolved as far as fixing things especially being this is suppossed to be a perk of LTS. Can we get our Liberated Klingon Borg toons to actually be Liberated Klingons... When I look at mine it says human and they should atleast have the honorable trait as well.

I also think Liberated Borg (both species), need to have no forced traits. They are supposed to be a LTS bonus and yet Alien and Joined Trill are better for making a character with. I say still have the option to choose the Borg Traits but have them all optional like the Alien as well as allowing them to choose the main species traits (eg, Honourable for the Klingons).

I believe the liberated borg should be special tho it should have an additional trait to make them more fun and hold some value of having a LTS. Like human ones having teamwork/whatver humans do and klingon ones having either warrior or honorable.

As it stands, species traits aren't really that beneficial are they? Assuming the Devs do get to address this, I think this suggestion is a sound one. Work it into whatever trait improvements are down the pike.

They are beneficial to a point and I believe based on what I know of these passives as before they did all this revamping the efficient trait had it balanced but now you don't have any diversity or much of any perk of playing the liberated borg. One issue I've seen is that the neural blast which technically should be able to be made more powerful by that one sci category for ground does not improve it which I believe it should.

The biggest thing though is that it should have some traits of their race but if they need to cut and paste the suggestion I would give is make a new passive to add on to every new and old liberated borg called Individuality and basically give it the power of the human and klingon race only passives.

As for species traits if you know how game mechanics work for ground which is mostly what the KDF has is ground passives. I'll explain one of my favorite races in STO on KDF side and how it works which is the nausicaan. Basically nausicaans are an all around heavy dps dealer although they deal a bit more on the melee side by a smidgeon. Hardly debatable is the term on them being the highest dps machines in the game but because of balance there are conditions nausicaans have to be in to pull this off otherwise they are just as strong as any other race. With the pirate passive mostly and whatever else you put on your nausicaan they are going to do a great deal more damage when they have a high stealth rating. So with the Omega cloak or the smoke grenade when you get that exploit attack (which the more humans in the team the better for teamwork passive amplifies this same ability) if you are in stealth you are going to have a much much much higher damage output than anyone next to you if they don't have that pirate passive.

There are many different passives in the game but I prefer nausicaan when it comes to damage because of how they can utilize smoke grenades for a useful purpose with game mechanics. The only other big ticket item I have related to this issue is KDF for most part and a few federation races have high passives on the melee weapons but like the nausicaan or tegular swords its all choppy and broken the way they hit and the whole way it works pretty much with melee doesn't really work out well for enjoyment of the game as we would think of how melee weapons should work. Plus if you do stf's a lot most of the time 1 second after you get the assimilation timer you are assimilated even though it has a 5 minute count down. My suggestion is to fix the choppiness of those swords, give the melee weapons the damage they need to be balanced with it being a logical choice for melee races to use, and reduce the count down to like 30 seconds but fix it where the timer has to run out before it actually assimilates you.

Liberated Borg have perhaps the best required traits of any race.

You have one that give you constant healing on ground, and Efficient Captain, which give you a PL bonus spaceside.

    Both are quite useful!
