I don't know how many here have been wonderfully privileged to take part in one of Mini's 20 man invites (he's usually hanging out Ker'rat when it gets going). I certainly doubt I'm speaking for just myself when I say that it's by far the most fun this game can get, bar none. It turns into a complete bar brawl with localized fights going on everywhere, an epicenter of ships darting around each other, all kinds of loadouts, etc. It's just a complete blast.
Why, then, isn't this an option on the PvP queue? It's bad enough that the thing got taken off the HUD...

I have also been in many of minis big pvp matchs and they are for the most part a lot of fun, But it hard enough to get a 5 v 5 queue to pop, and these days when they do pop its ends up being a 4 v 3, 5 v 4, even 3 v 3 some matches.

Probably because there often aren't enough people to get a match of that size going. Sure you could queue for that separately, but people are also going to queue for the 4v4/5v5 as well and that will always pop first.
And can you imagine? If this became a public reality, you'd have teams of 10 siphon drone spamming carriers.

I dont see why there is need for a PvE queue tab under the mini map because there is already a section in the menu when you hail starfleet/ klingon defence force.
I am over the daily grind and find myself looking for PvP matches, the thing that sucks is that I am waiting over 20 minutes for a queue to even fill up.
I'm coming up with some ideas for an unofficial STO PvP tournament with leader boards and all. For example 1v1 or teams of 3v3/5v5 melee only elimination ladder matches etc.
Hopefully I'll be testing the idea out inside my own fleet to start with then hopefully work from there.
If cryptic/ PWE wont do anything to make more people enjoy PvP, then maybe we should band together and arrange something for ourselves
I'm over the daily grind and its time to have some fun!

The queues are pretty much full of carrier cheese as it is (it takes all my strength not to just warp out when I see two of them). At least in tens it'd look pretty (chronitons, pets popping, etc. Taste the rainbow!)

The issue I have with carrier spam is that it tends to slow my framerate down and sometimes triggers that 'can't see enemy ship/shields' effect that Cryptic put in to combat UI lag. One carrier, ok. . .they have their uses and are valuable support craft. 2-3 carriers? Nope. Not having any of that. At that point, the OP healing skills make my BoP's efforts pointless.
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.
If its already bad enough with the drop out rate of lulz'players and add together the growing rate of lulz'afkers think how bad it would be in a 10v10 que where you have a probability of ending up with 5 afker's or better yet 5 players who warp out and its you in a lonely escort.
Until something is done about the akf'ers and the lulz'warpouts then 10v10 would be pointless.
Now its not that Im not all for big pew pew i love a good big pew pew.........just with the state of pvp at the moment it wouldnt work out and would cause more frustration amoung true pvp players.

also people that do not take their pop will even be more problematic.
