Might be helpful if the poster politely explained what they felt was wrong with pvp.
Seems like everybody has a different opinion on that. There is after all enough threads about the topic....
I think Zorenas Post wasn't fix this or fix that... it was fix it in general.
Assign a Dev... Spend TIME (Money) on it... and we will spend ours.
I have stopped spending money also. I play still but will NOT spend one more dime on this game until I know at least some of the profits will go toward tending the only area of the game I give a shake about.

the sad thing is, there are so many different threads with different issues in each one and nothing has been done about any of them. i take that back, we did get chrono proc's looked at and "fixed" (i hear that its only partly fixed) and phaser proc's seem to be getting a "fix" too at some point.
in return for that chrono fix we got-
private que's are broken.
now the other general issues are-
there is no concern what so ever about game balance (including powers/ship layouts/duty officer powers)
we had a dev then he left and we havent heard anything since.
constant consistant lies about pvp being "a top priority" yet nothing ever being done, and in fact things being made worse each time a new ship or duty officer is thrown in the mix.
being told then that pvp balance isnt going to be considered until the system gets revamped but then we're left hanging as to when that might be. (my guess is never. itll be that carrot at the end of the stick for us)
maps we were told that were gonna be added time and time again when the featured episodes were still a thing, that never happened either....
being told we the community "must not be spec'd right" when we say resists arent working right/at all.
the constant belittling by the devs off handly/out of ignorance.
now being FORCED to pve for fleet marks because there is absolutly no way to earn them in pvp (i think the space cap and hold or ground assault maps would be a perfect way to give rewards in marks)
that feeling of paranoia that they dont care about us... which has been consitantly proven to be correct....
once people are fully geared up for pvp there is little monetary incentive for the company to keep pvp fresh. In a lot of games with pvp there is a chance to lose items on death. obviously with STO's bind pretty much everything in sight system, this won't work as well - you could of course pick up commodities or EC or other unbound items that could have a chance to drop on death. It would be good if they could figure out a way that on a very rare occasion bound items would drop.
in games where this functionality exists, there is often a boutique item to prevent such losses despite death. This is usually a fairly cheap ($1 for a bundle of 10 or 20) item that when held in your inventory gets automatically used on death to prevent item loss. This would effectively give a way to monetize pvp.
yes some people would in the beginning stop carrying items in inventory, but eventually that gets annoying dropping stuff in bank or exchange every time you fancy a quick pvp.
with monetization, gives the company an incentive to further possibilities for pvp, new space or ground maps where 1v1, 5v5, 10v10 or fleet v fleet pvp - imagine 40 v 40 ships going at each other.
if these pvp maps could be linked into some player and fleet bonus to incentivise it's use then the company wins as more people gear up and buy "item savers" and the players who want pvp win with more options.
