planning on getting a desktop like opinions

I am planning on getting a gaming desktop. I wanted to know which would suffice better in playing star trek online. The biggest difference in my choices is the gpu. One has the nvidia geforce 680, and the other desktop has the nvidia geforce 570. The desktop with the nvidia geforce 570 is the cheaper one. I wanted to know if the nvidia geforce 570 would be enough or if it would be a better choice to get the 680. Thanks in advance

My advice is to go with the best video card and as much RAM as you can afford. I would even be willing to go with a slightly slower (cheaper) CPU if it meant I could have a better video card and more RAM.

CPU bottlenecks just don't happen that much anymore. GPU bottlenecks are much more prevalent.

I've been very happy with my brand new Alienware X51, which uses the Geforce 545 card, and plays very well with default (75%) settings...

(The Alienware X51 is also much smaller and quieter then my old AMD quad-core, and sips much less power with only a 250 Watt external brick power supply. Alienware is owned by Dell, so you might want to take a look at it...)

Hey thanks guys for giving me your input. I am planning on getting a desktop with a lot of ram, and yes, one of my choices is an alien ware. I'm glad you told me your graphics card because it lets me know that the game will run fine for me with whatever choice I decide. You are right, beefed up ram and the best stuff is a good choice, I just have to sort out which is best for my wallet. Thanks again
