I paid money for this thing a little over a month ago, yet once season 6 strikes it'll be rendered obsolete, especially VS the already overpowered bug which is getting a FREE buff.
Yes I know there's a new improved version at tier 5 shipyard (which will take months of focused grinding to even have a chance at getting it), but I see no reason why I should have to grind for a new improved version. Not only have I just paid 2000 c-points for the inferior one, but the Jem'hadar attack ship is getting one for free.
Worse is that I may be expected to PAY for this upgrade.
Please buff the c-store version so that it's the same as the fleet store version.

how exactly will it become obsolete? will it no longer be able to handle itself in pvp? will it no longer be able to deal a ton of dps in an stf? just because fleet versions of the other ships will bring them up to par with the armitage, does not mean it will be obsolete, it just means your OPness will be decreased. and as for the bug, it is very well that players paid more then 2000cpts for them, since they were in a lottery, not a guaranteed purchase.

The C-store Armitage is already better than the vast majority of Fleet ships even w/out it's Tier5 shipyard fleet version, as well as being superior to entire cadre of C-store escorts for both the KDF and Federation. The Jem'hadar ship buff is a mistake and everyone who doesn't have mud between their ears knows it. Two rights don't make a wrong.
will it no longer be able to handle itself in pvp?
Compared to the bug and the fleet ships, no.
When you've got a bug that can have the same hull as a cruiser, more firepower then the majority of escorts (plus chance to SNB with Jem'hadar set) and one of the highest turnrates in the game, the Armitage will not be able to stand up against it.

The Armitage is only better then the ships that are variants of T2-T4 ships, the rest are superior, including the fleet patrol escort, which has more hull and shields then it. That's from a tier 1 shipyard.
There is a fleet heavy escort carrier in the rewards for the Tier 5 (I think) shipyard, so it will become available. And I highly doubt some extra hull/shielding with an engineering console will suddenly make the Fleet Patrol better than the Armitage. Got a problem with the bug? Fine, maybe it wasn't properly balanced. But don't go crying because you spent money on an unbalanced escort and now are pissed that another unbalanced escort will become better than it for free. Cruiser and science vessel captains are laughing at you right now--there are much more egregious imbalances in those realms than those between escorts.

Incorrect. The Armitage is capable of more damage than any other escort in the game, and that is the primary function of an Escort... that will remain true even with the launch of season 6. The 5 tac console ships (Defiant & Jem'hadar) may overtake it, but that remains to be seen. No current Fleet Raptor on Destroyer on the Klingon side will ever match the damage that the Armitage is capable of right now, regardless of the Shipyard tier.
On top of that, it's setup w/ a very healthy BO layout for engineering, making it a more capable tank than the vast majority of escorts as well. It might be less tanky than a Fleet Patrol Escort (which is arguable considering that LtCmdr ENG slot), but it is still extremely tanky, and it beats it hands down in damage.
If you want to, you can even sacrifice the Hangar Bay DPS fighters for Shield drones, making it a better tank than any other Escort in the game, including the Patrol Escort.
And lets not even get into PvP and it's tractor beam Danubes....
No my friend, you payed for an extremely powerful ship and that's exactly what you got. You'll be well served by it for a long time, so lets not get greedy. The fact that it's even getting a fleet version is a bit ridiculous. But I suspect the Vesta will be out by then and it will be even more ridiculously OP.

The Armitage by no means out DPS's all other escorts. Not sure where you are getting that information from. The fighters? minuscule dps aka non noticeable even on open hull. Danube's are okay to catch players off gaurd, Maybe. Any good escort pilot will be using enough skills to negate their tractors and in some cases using fighters are a Armitage pilots downfall as you can get 1 shotted or damn near close to if a pilot aims a Iso charge off your fighters. The Armitage is a good ship is you feel like spending the money for it, but its by no means OP or anything like that. Fought atleast 30 of these even by notable PvP pilots and ive yet ot lose to a single one. Arma is a non challenge as long as your setup properly to combat anything it can throw at you. Not to mention you dont have 2 ltc tact skills at your disposal.
Not sure what the OP is crying about, you bought a ship and now your regretting it? well yea because it is overhyped. Scale its stats to mirror the fleet version? thats ignorance my friend, then there would be no point in havign the fleet version then.

You probably didn't notice that the OP posted in July. Before the Fleet Armitage was even mentioned. This is the danger of creating a zombie from a dead thread...
The Armitage is a remarkable escort. It's by no means the best escort in the game, but from my perspective it is the best escort that holds a Starfleet pedigree.
I buy pretty much each new federation ship as they are released. I have tried the Jem Hadar bug - clearly the best escort of all in terms of damage potential. My Klingon toon is now working his way through the various ships available. The Siege Grumba is a lot of fun, but it isn't Klingon. That brings me back to the qualities of the Armitage.
The Armitage is an under armoured, over powered gunship. And I love her. She's my fun ship to play. Shields always straining, yet she's always ready and willing to deliver a devastating hail of torpedoes to anyone or anything. She was my first build that I could take on a cube single handedly. I have found myself playing without the fighters, really not needing them in combat.
I just don't get the argument that she needs more of anything.
The introduction of the revised OMEGA passives and weapons makes the Armitage a significantly more dangerous weapons platform. I've replaced the forward quantum launcher with the new OMEGA torpedo, and one of the rear turrets with the Cutting beam. The passive 2.5% bonus of +700 kinetic per shot AND the chance of bypassing shields entirely is an amazing boost. The game changer in my opinion is the damage potential of the OMEGA torpedo. The HY is really for stationary targets due to it's speed, but Spread III is a sight to behold. Spread III + Photon Point Defense against 6 targets - seriously how much more fun can you have.
Yes, I'll would love to have another console position, higher hull and shields. A Commander science Boff would make her truly formidable. But it's not necessary.
Not sure I get this thread. There is already a fleet Armitage available from the T5 shipyard.
Boosting the cstore version makes little sense, and this is coming from somebody who owns it as well.
Fighters are what makes this ship shine. Load very rare Runabouts or Delta Flyers and you have a ship that can output more dps than any other ship in the game.
