Armitage Missing Type 6 Skin.

As the title says, the Armitage is now missing the Type 6 skin. I had it when I bought it and could use the Type 6 skin in conjunction with my Thunderchild. Just wondering why this is happening?

Thank you.

Confirmed; my Armitage still has Type 6 active, but the ship customisation window only has Type 1-4 as an option.

Just checked this and only skin types 1-4 are showing.

I've been wondering about this as well, as I just renamed my Armitage Class vessel the other day and had a hankering to also switch to the really white hull material, which I believe is 'Type 6' skin?

I'm fairly sure that I ended up switching from Type 3 to Type 1. Yet, I'm really hoping they bring back that Type 6 skin soon, as I recall it being the default skin for the ship itself.

as a workaround until they get to fixing this - drop all your gear into your inventory, discharge and reclaim the ship. You will then have the default type 6 skin again. re-gear and away you go.

I just tried this, it didn't work. My re-purchased Armitage is still sporting the type 1 hull material instead of type 6.

I was going to suggest a less drastic possible solution. If I recall correctly, the last time I went to the ship tailor, to the leftmost of the options screen there are preset ship configuration options, the first among them being 'Armitage'. I seem to recall clicking on that option and also recall that it reverted my ship back to its default appearance (with the Type 6, white material, and black stripes and accents). Yet, at the time, I decided against this 'cause I was feeling lazy and didn't want to go through the process of customizing colors and patterns all over again.

I'll give that another try, when I log into the game, later on today, and then report whether or not this option proves successful.

I'd like to add I can also select but 1 window type, type 4. Whenever I try to select a different type, it automatically switches back to type 4. Has anyone else had any problems with this?

Well, that didn't work either. I just tried it with ESD's ship tailor to no avail. When I clicked on the 'Armitage' template', it reverted back to the black stripes and accents, but with Material 1, granting no option for Material 6. Not the original default Armitage template at all it seems (as I recall the default featuring Material 6, the toothpaste white option).

As far as the lack of windows options, I'm fairly sure it's sadly been that way since I acquired my Armitage, a few days after its release.

I came across a Dev on Tribble and asked about this bug and he said it was already fixed and should be in one of the patches real soon.

Well, that's reassuring. Whilst "really soon" seems to be somewhat relative around here, eh?;)

Thanks for the heads up though Darknessmuta! Wicked glad it's come to a Devs attention, at least.:)

I looked into this myself, it does allow hull 6 if you use the complete set of Thunderchild parts (if you have them). I personally like that one better myself.

Soon in Cryptic terms is somewhere between 1 hour and ∞
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Sadly, that does seem to be the case around here, doesn't it? Just another issue thrown into the glitch bin of infinity, I'm guessing, 'cause this certainly hasn't been fixed as yet. I had hoped it might've been too, with the S6 update.

    But nope. Still waiting.

This version of Season 6 still is basically the same version that was on Tribble when I asked the Dev (I think it was jamjamz) about the skin. They have only had some server stability patches as all the bugs that were on Tribble are still there on Holodeck. Hopefully when they actually start releasing the bugfix patches this fix he mentioned will be in one of the first few releases.

I was hoping they would have fixed this issue together with the ship tailor fix, but no such luck. :(

Yeah, that's what I had been hoping for as well Intrinsical. And thanks for something of an insight into the whole situation Darknessmuta. Though, at this point, it would've been nice to hear back from one of the devs themselves on this whole issue.

Be aware that if you mix and match parts you will lose the type 6 skin it has to be all armitage or thunderchild to have the skin applied.

Only the Thunderchild has type 6. Armitage, even with all parts, only has the default 1-4 skins so it doesn't matter how you mix and match the Armitage.

I have the Armitage Saucer and Struts, the Oslo Nacells, and the Akira Hull. I use the type 6 skin. Now, maybe I don't know what the skin is supposed to look like (I don't have the Thunderchild), but I selected it, and it looked different than the other skins.

Thanks for the heads up Intrinsical!:D I awoke, quite literally, at the crack of dawn, this morning and read this good news. I hadn't logged into STO since this past weekend. Yet, this news prompted me to log back in, right away.

And lo and behold, I haven't been able to log in since about 5:30AM! So, now I haven't got any STO at all. Hopefully that Type 6 hull will be waiting for me, when and if I'm able to get back in-game.:P
